Back in absalon…
Aki looks down upon the sleeping Nami and Lucy. Nami wakes up and starts to stretch, He notes how cold the air is. Nami hears a branch snap. Nami questions "Who's there?" A voice unfamiliar to Nami echoes "You don't look strong at all" .
A beam of light shoots at Nami. Nami dodges the beam and picks up Lucy. "How boring" The voice says as Nami takes a step back. Suddenly beams of light start shooting from the trees. Nami starts running in the opposite direction of the voice as the beams follow.
Nami thinks to himself "This energy feels like" Nami suddenly cuts to a memory of his encounter with Grim. "But he was never this strong" Nami hops over the burning trees that have fallen as he continues to dodge the endless beams of light.
Lucy wakes up to rushing wind and the sound of explosions. She tries to ask Nami what is happening but Immediately gets stuffed in a bag. Nami apologizes as he throws the bag, with Lucy inside, further into the forest.
The beams continue until Nami reaches a cliff. Nami turns his back to the cliff and looks down into the abyss. With the sound of rocks falling into the abyss, Nami nervously smirks. A voice coming from the forest acknowledges Nami's skills and logical thinking. Nami questions the mysterious voice "Why don't you come out so I can thank you face to face?"
Nami faces the forest awaiting an answer. Another beam of light charges towards Nami. Nami deflects the light attack and tries to escape but a seal is placed under his feet. Nami tries his hardest to break the seal but it doesn't work. In the blink of an eye, Kane appears right in front of him and asks him "Is this the best you can do?" Nami without a hesitation takes a swing at Kane.
Lucy curses Nami for being so rough with her. She grabs the bag and follows the destruction left by their attackers. She looks up and sees a light heading to Nami's position. She worries and thinks that it could be trouble. Lucy transforms into her fox form and rushes off to save Nami.
Nami continues his flurry of attacks. Kane dodges the attacks while remarking "Where's all that confidence gone, boy?" Nami faints one of his attacks catching Kane off guard. Nami "All I need is an opening" Kane questions "What?" Nami prepares to land his strongest attack. "I'll end this right here" Nami tells Kane as he launches his punch.
Kane changes his stance as Nami's fist lands a direct hit. "Phantom Slash '' Kane says as a sword hilt appears on Kane with his sword unsheathed. Kane quickly sheaths the weapon, making the hilt disappear. Nami's arm is flying through the air until it hits the ground and disintegrates.
Lucy arrives right as Nami kneels on the ground. Nami spots her and gives her a glance that tells her to stay back. Kane asks Nami if the fox girl should be first. Nami's eyes widened. Nami tries to stop Kane but he's too late. Lucy wonders where he went and shouts out to Nami. "You idiot!" Nami exclaims in his head.
Lucy exclaims excitedly "He ran off" But behind her Kane stands, preparing to kill her. Nami's eyes widen as Kane swings. The light Lucy saw earlier engulfs Nami's body. As the light fades, Kane looks to his left as a person holds Lucy in their arms. This mysterious person is covered in a white energy.
"This person wasn't there before" Kane says as the person completely ignores him. Lucy notices that Nami is gone and asks the person who they are and where Nami went.
Kane says "So you've finally decided to show up?' Lucy looks at the stranger's face and starts to see a resemblance to Nami. Kane calls out a Name "Aki '' Lucy starts to become afraid of the stranger. As the stranger smiles at Lucy, she finally realizes that it is nami but different.
The person puts Lucy down gently and stands up facing Kane. Kane asks "Aki, So you've finally returned? Good. Now I can have the pleasure of killing you." The Being closes their eyes for a moment. Lucy wonders what happened to them as she notices the energy release from the person's body.
With their energy uncovering them, the clothes Nami was wearing changed slightly. The being opens their eyes. The person addresses themself as Akame as they point to Kane who grins maliciously as He tells Akame "This will be fun" Akame and Kane have a stare down as they prepare to end their battle.
