The police and firefighters rushed in to arrest the knocked-out gang members and put out the raging fires.
"Door kicker nice to see you again, but I got to wonder why our paths seem to cross a lot," Cassandra said with a small smile as she stuck her hand out.
"Who knows, maybe it's fate or we both can't stand annoying gangs" Cyrus replied with a small grin as he shook her hand.
"Hey Cyrus you seem to be having an interesting day," Lala said with a wide smile before glancing around. "So what happened here exactly?"
"Just following up with that boy I chased down yesterday, He's a cool kid just caught up in some gang stuff. But they took it to a dangerous level when they attacked his grandpa" Cyrus said while glancing at Greg who was yelling at a group of gang members being led away.
"I see, I'll add that to my report" Cassandra muttered while taking out a notepad "So where is the young man?"
"We got a problem Boss!" Yasha yelled as he landed with a boom gaining everyone's attention.
"What the hell happened!?" Cyrus asked in utter shock as he ran over and stared at Randy who was drenched in sweat and getting paler by the second.
"He was ambushed by a couple of bastards, one of them summoned a weak creature and then ran off like a coward," Yasha hissed in annoyance. "While I was making my way over he suddenly started vomiting and passed out"
"Medic, get over here now!" Cassandra yelled as a couple of EMTs ran over with a trolley and an oxygen tank.
"Randy!, what's wrong with him!?" Greg yelled as he held onto the trolley so tightly his knuckles turned white.
"We will determine that once we arrive at the hospital sir," one of the EMTs said as they placed Randy inside the ambulance.
"Is his guardian or relative present?" the other EMT in, glancing at Greg and Cyrus.
"Yes, I'm his grandfather" Greg huffed with tears forming in the corners of his eyes while struggling to get inside the ambulance.
"Don't worry about this place. I will have it fixed up before meeting you at the hospital," Cyrus said with a serious nod, which Greg returned before the ambulance doors shut and flew into the sky.
"Boss, we need to deal with those bastards right now! Especially that cowardly summoner! " Yasha snarled as he tightly clenched his fist.
"Save that rage for later, let's get this place clean up" Cyrus muttered in barely contained anger as he easily picked up two damaged cars and sprinted over to a section of the junkyard.
Lala was surprised at how quickly Cyrus and his strange friend cleaned the place up as it only took them three minutes.
"I'll give you a lift to the hospital, we can go over the plan to deal with them on the way," Cassandra said as Cyrus put a padlock and chains on the main gate.
"You found their hideout? How?" he asked as she handed him a datapad displaying a three-story warehouse with multiple entrances.
"Boris told us everything we needed, apparently loyalty means nothing when faced with a lengthy sentence and fine," Cassandra said with a sly smirk.
"Good, I can't wait to start a counterattack," Cyrus said with a fierce grin on his face.
"We have the place, Make sure you call me when the fighting starts," Yasha said with a serious nod as he patted Cyrus on the shoulder before he got unsummoned back to the mind place.
"It is rare to encounter a fellow summoner these days, let alone one capable of utilizing four creatures without collapsing. Is this due to your incredible fighting spirit? I am curious to know which other rumors of the infamous door kicker are true if that's the case," Cassandra inquired, her expression inquisitive as she gazed at Cyrus.
"I stopped caring about the rumors when they said I killed a slime by eating it, but I'll let you know that it takes a lot of energy for me to summon one of them let alone all four like today," Cyrus said as he patted Lala on the top of her head "Compared to you two though it seems you can have her out for days without breaking a sweat"
"Lalatina and I are a special case, to the point where she is barely a burden on my life force," Cassandra with a small smile as she and Cyrus got into the police car and headed towards the hospital.
"Yep! My mother saved Cass's mother when she went through one of the doors to catch a criminal, and they became friends. Now we are like sisters, which means she gets to bring me out to help her with work without making a funny contract" Lala said with a wide smile and massive stars in her eyes. "And in return, I get to enjoy this fun world and meet interesting people like everyone at the station, and now you!"
"I see. Well, I hope that my bond with those guys is at least half as strong as yours," Cyrus said with a smile as he glanced at the warehouse information while listening to his four summons excitedly discuss their experiences today and how to improve for next time.
