Kento mingled with the crowd, effortlessly shifting from conversation to conversation. A few women, all draped in expensive gowns and drowning in perfume, hovered around him like moths to a flame. Talita, to his amusement, lingered nearby, her sharp tongue ready to fend off any overly eager admirers.
"Oh, Kento, darling!" A woman in an extravagant lavender gown placed her hand on his arm, smiling up at him. "I didn't expect to see you here. You're not dodging me again, are you?"
Kento chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with mischief. "You know I wouldn't dream of it, Lady Vessara. But I must admit, I've been far too busy lately. Though for you, I might just have to make an exception."
She blushed slightly, batting her eyelashes. "You really are a terrible flirt."
"Only for the right company," he replied smoothly.
She giggled, her eyes sparkling, but before she could respond, another woman swooped in.
