The surveillance mission was in full swing, and Constantine had his hands full managing his team while keeping his own eyes open for any signs of the Black Maw. Each member had their own target—Kento was trailing Brianna Larson, Brick was tailing Erik, and Jake was keeping tabs on the Larson twins, Astrid and Annika. Meanwhile, Constantine moved between them, teleporting around, helping where needed, and filling in gaps they couldn't reach.
It had been hours of careful observation, and tensions were starting to rise.
Constantine started by checking in on Kento, who had the most dangerous target: Brianna Larson, the family matriarch and a powerful sorceress. Kento, with his background as an assassin and his noble lineage, was the best fit for the job—at least, on paper. But Brianna was a dangerous target. If she had ties to Outer powers Kento could be detected, as anyone connected to such beings could potentially sense an Outcast's aether. That was Kento's problem.
