It was beautiful yet rainy morning. No one likes when it rains, especially when rain can devour your skin. That's why most people stay at home at that time. What can be done in small space?

That's the problem for them to bother, not me. It's easier to stay away, be forgotten, old heroes steps aside for new ones, but when the youngling fails they return.

Amon is simple man, if I know him well and I do. Well, when he don't pull himself into trouble, picking up the fight with elves isn't the great idea I suppose. Ah right Elves as stereotypically elegant and classy, wouldn't bother?...they would indeed. At least these three. Shucks I need to interfere.

"Ey! Stop! It's not nice to twist a knife in the wound. Leave him be!"

They scattered, leaving my good fellow at the ground, I picked him up

"you good?" I asked, clearly worried, well it was expected, three against one... He could stand a chance.

He Siad that he was alright, I didn't trust that at all... What esle could I do but took him to my place, then patch up his wounds and use water and light magic to heal the most cruel ones

"What's that all about?" He asked me, like I was doing something irregular.

"I am saving you butt, again" I responded

It wasn't the first time he got into trouble. He doesn't learn from his mistakes.

After that I ordered for us two root beers... Just for the taste...

"you know..." He started "You are wise mage Baltasar..." I smiled since he rarely uses my name "But... I didn't need your help you know..."

I said "Yeah... totally..." With bit of irony in it, we both knew he was just trying to show off... In taverns he usually does that... "Look...it stopped raining..." I said....and without any more of time wasting, we left the tavern after paying.

Then we head out of the Silver Fall... I love that city. Quiet, steady, away from capital so not too much royal guards,but most importantly, it was old city. I love old architecture, it keeps the history still, the way they used to build can teach a lot. We headed south since Amon insisted. Don't know why though, well none of us liked capital City, well I liked it's style and colours, cause it doesn't matter who lives there for me, the owner can change few times generation pass one after another, but the buildings stay. If it wasn't for my friend Amon we would stay in Silver Fall a little longer.

As the day started coming to its very end we settle down the camp in the forest I asked Amon "You know...I always wondered... Why are you like this?...I mean. You are clever and strong, but sometimes I think you don't think what you are doing..." His response caught me off guard "Yeah...I know. I sometimes do not think before doing something " I responded in playful manner "We will fall into some trap one day. I know it."

He went to bed and I stand guard. Gazing on the tent I stared analyzing it's structure and shape. I do that often. It makes me disturbed in positive way, but lowers my performance at defence. I have something for shapes... Maybe after graduation of Magic school at Water Nikkit made my kinda weird...but who cares?...at least Amon doesn't...

After few hours I started feeling sleepy and fell asleep as well.

Dreams are weird matter they tend to show future or completely delusional things. This one was different. I looked around and saw forest and house in-between, but something was familiar I couldn't recall what exactly. Approaching the house I saw that it was open. I entered and noticed terribly familiar view. it was my family's house, exactly how I remember it. But why I saw it? Before I could seek for more knowledge I woke up.

I looked around, grass, tent and forest around me and my buddy Amon. It was beautiful scene, maybe one day I will reach moment when I don't need to run after commissions and adventures in order to stay alive and well fed. Maybe one day... But that's not for today. As I packed up my things Amon get up and did the same. We head off for the next adventure ahead.
