Evelyn pushed Daemon away, and arranged her hair, her eyes trying in vain to generate a glare full of blame.
Daemon took his hand back, but kept looking at Evelyn with a smile. Maybe the joy he was feeling was why the financial institutions were always motivated to find people to grant loans to. Nothing could beat claiming interests.
"Let's go."
Evelyn responded to the offending smirk with a soft glare she managed to manifest in the end, before she went to take her seat. With the doors closed, she checked on her son while Daemon leaned in to help her with her seatbelt. Like that, with everyone in the family ready, the car left the front of the building and added itself to the traffic.
Jason, now relieved that the car was moving and he would not be late for school, took out his notebook from his bag and started scribbling on it.
