But as she felt the pair of hands on her waist starting to slide down, she opened her eyes with newfound clarity amidst the haze of desire and passion, remembering where she was, and processing what was happening.
The open space and the wind made Evelyn even more self-aware, causing her to resume her struggle from earlier. She took advantage of the abruptness of her action to get enough space to wiggle out of Daemon's embrace from below his arms.
