The couple hugging each other on the terrace booked just for them seemed to forget the rest of the world in their intimacy. The warmth being exchanged between them seemed enough to drive away the coolness of the morning breeze in this high place. But that was not enough for Daemon.
He looked at fair skin exposed through the cutout on the shoulder in front of him, then broke the silence that had gone from ambiguous to tranquil in a low voice.
"Let's go."
Evelyn kept her eyes on the city, but she let out a reply just as quiet:
"Hm."
It was so quiet that it was unknown whether Daemon heard her, or if he based his following action on the slight nod of the head he felt.
