Leaving the car, the two parents walked calmly, while Jason, impatient, took the lead to run toward the door. It was automatically unlocked by the smart home system, and the boy didn't hesitate to go inside.
"Uncle Ryan!"
Evelyn shook her head, then turned to Daemon.
"Won't that bother Ryan?"
But the man only shook his head:
"No."
Evelyn didn't take her gaze back, so he was forced to elaborate:
"I told you before that he has few people in his heart, so he appreciates the company of those he holds affection for."
He turned to Evelyn and comforted her:
"Don't worry. For him and I, we only care about our companies because we want to, so even if Jason interrupts his work, he will just laugh it off."
The two went inside, while Evelyn couldn't help but take another look at the father of her son.
