It was the morning. Evelyn had woken up feeling better than she had the previous days. But she was not the one excited today. It was Jason, her bundle of energy.
As soon as the latter woke up, he had her make haste, like a soldier on the warpath. She did raise him trying to have him cultivate good habits, but it was his first time being so motivated and disciplined. And thanks to him, they both got ready way before the agreed upon time.
At least that was the case for him, as he fidgeted the whole time while waiting for his mother to be done. His impatience made him even burn through the calories from his breakfast faster, making Evelyn smile in helplessness.
"Sweetie, calm down. Your father will be here soon."
Putting her earrings in front of the dressing table, Evelyn didn't even turn as she spoke. But her words didn't really succeed in their endeavor.
The restless boy asked:
"When?"
