Imagining the scene Avrye just described, Evelyn almost shuddered, despite not being a man. She could not help but wonder whether Avrye had a boyfriend, feeling sorry for the latter, whether he existed already, or he would in the future.

Evelyn gave Avrye a wry smile, and started the car:
"If I did what you just said, not only would our tasks of finding clients become more difficult in the future, we might have even been on our way to the police station by now, instead of returning to the office."
