With Connel's posture, it was impossible to tell whether he had vented enough, or he had just been too tired to continue. But after making enough damage to bankrupt an average family, he seemed to have at least calmed down.
Connel didn't react when his assistant came to a stop not far from him. He left him bowing at the side, the silence deceptive enough to make it seem as if there was no one in the apartment.
The two inside breathed lightly and quietly, until Connel finally broke the silence:
"Why did I not know anything?"
Silence. That was the only answer, and the assistant bowed a few degrees deeper, his tailored suit becoming a little uncomfortable on his body for the first time ever, as he kept his eyes on his shiny leather shoes.
