Evelyn couldn't help but feel amused by Dinaia's tantrum.
"Lower your voice, please. Your godson spent too much energy at school today, and he is now asleep."
Dinaia didn't reply. She only turned her head to the side with an expression clearly conveying that she would refuse to speak to her supposedly best friend until she was done sulking.
Evelyn smiled helplessly.
"Alright, I know you have been good to me. How about I offer you a compensation?"
Dinaia didn't turn back to look at Evelyn, but her face that said that she was paying attention while faking indifference only looked more amusing.
Evelyn had her smile deepen at the scene.
"Jenny is in town. I met her today."
Dinaia paused. It took a while for her to process the words, the name mentioned causing her to dig through her memories before it dawned on her.
"Jenny!? That Jenny!? Ryan's Jenny who he didn't know where she was?"
