The sound of the door unlocking rang, before a guest stepped into Evelyn's small apartment. Closing the door back, the guest walked into the living room and turned to meet Evelyn's gaze coming from the small space called kitchen.
"Hey."
Dinaia's wide smile was not met with reciprocity. Instead, it was met with befuddlement, before Evelyn opened her mouth:
"What are you doing here?"
Dinaia let her handbag fall onto the sofa and smiled unrestrainedly as she went to sit before Evelyn. She looked as happy as someone high on something, or like a prisoner who just got herself a conditional as she retorted:
"I believe you want to ask what am I doing here so early in the morning?"
Indeed, it was really early, as the sun had hardly covered any distance on the journey waiting for it today.
Evelyn took a second to look at her friend longer, before she lowered her head to focus back on the vegetable she had been chopping.
