The four of them had chosen a room and begun to settle in, having brought nothing with them. It was only a place to sleep.
"Should we go for a hunt?" Michael suggested, "I can't just sit idle, and I can't wait until I can take down the whole Makisis."
Blake and Cole agreed instantly, eager for action. But Dane declined, he lay down on a bed and faced the wall, sulking.
He couldn't even bring himself to face the others. Michael, Blake, and Cole tried to reassure him, telling him it wasn't his fault, but Dane didn't respond. They decided to leave him alone and continue with their plan.
The three of them went downstairs and headed toward the reception after picking up the paper map from their room table.
In the lobby, several students were lurking around, chatting quietly and glancing at the reception desk. A man sat behind the reception desk, his legs crossed and resting on the desk, engrossed in a book.
