The era of Chaos 10 (end)
Monkey D Garp
Grey named her son Garp. It took gem 3 days to wake up. After he recovered partially Maki brought the family back to the dawn Island. But due to being directly targeted by Cipher pole, Gem decided to not return to his company immediately.
Maki also told him that he has at most 3 years to live.
At the end Maki left Gem and his family alone and left to do some necessary bug cleaning.
Maki had to do a lot of clean up work afterwards in order to suppress any news and even kill the celestial Dragon secretly who had ordered to assassinate her brother. Since Gem has already came under the radar of CP organisation, Maki decided to destroy the entire CP network in the east blue and erase all and every information regarding her brother from their channel. She had to do it thoroughly so that the world government will not trace back any clue to her family again. The process was very long. It took her around 2 years to complete all these things. But with hard work and her trusted worm, Robert, Maki managed to kill every single undercover CP agent from east blue. She created another person named Toji, to do the job. And it was not that hard to fool the marines. With Maki's height and physique, oversized clothes and full face masks are enough to confuse her with a man. And as long as she didn't use her devil fruit powers, no one will know about her.
Of course the entire process didn't went smoothly. After a while the government figured out that someone was targetting the CP agents specifically in East blue. So they sent CP nine and CP zero to investigate.
While finding about CP 9 was a little difficult but CP 0 was an easy target for Maki. But difficult means it wasn't impossible. It took her some time to figure out that CP 9 agents have also came to investigate the death of the other CP agents in the east blue. But at the end both of them got eradicated by Maki.
While she successfully erased every existence and evidence on The assassination order of Gem, it also attracted the government's attention towards the mysterious CP killer, Toji. A bounty of 100,000,000 berries was released on the head of the mysterious killer. Since they couldn't reveal the information about cipher pole organisation to the public, the world government issued a bounty on 'Toji' for attacking and killing marines.
But their attempt was completely futile, since no one even knew how Toji looked because of Maki's full face mask. Not to mention due to the information network created by Maki during the 23 years, when she was operating from underground, she managed to gather information about CP agents without them being able to trace back. It allowed 'Toji' to finish his job quickly and efficiently before hiding in the dark again.
At the end when the world government failed to deal with Toji effectively, they decided to deploy a marine admiral to the east blue. But it was already too late. Because by that time Maki, has eradicated the entire CP organisation in the east blue and the members connected to it.

// 1448 November 3rd
A black cat jumped from the roof of a house, and landed on another's windows. It was a humble two storied house of windmill village in the dawn Island.
It was the time of evening and an old man was sipping alcohol, sitting on a swinging chair.
"The drugs have started to show their effects huh....*sigh*" the cat spoke and then sighed after seeing the old man.
The old man was none other than Gem. Due to the effects of boost drugs he has aged rapidly after his recovery. Even though he was fifty nine years old, he looks like a man in his late 80's.
"Thank you." The old man said quietly. Maki was not expecting to be thanked. At least not by Gem. She knew that she is probably the worst elder sister in the world. She has left her family alone when they needed her the most. She had lost herself in her revenge until an old man opened her eyes in the verge of death. So technically, Gem had every right to hate her. But he was thanking her instead.
Gem easily recognised the surprised face of the cat. Ironically in her normal human form Maki always looked serious and barely laughed. She barely shows any expression on her face while in her human form. Even if she is feeling any emotion she always hides it perfectly. But in her zoan form her expression becomes very difficult to hide.
"I could have died but at least you gave me a few more years to live with my family." Gem smiled lightly.
"Knowing that life is so short it truly opens a lot of new windows to explore outside. In my last moments I realised how beautiful life can be. And you have sacrificed everything. You have missed everything. *Chuckle* In reality, you are the one who was suffering all this time."
"You are talking like an ancient geezer with a lot of wisdom." Maki said off handedly trying to break the awkward atmosphere.
"If I am a geezer then what are you ? An old hag ?" Gem asked while laughing. For the first time Maki's cat face became expressionless. Even though she didn't care about her age, being called a hag definitely hurts.
"What happened to your business ?" Maki tried to change the topic without looking suspicious.
"Ha ha ha ! Trying to change the topic huh ?
Don't worry, you still look exactly the same like the time when you returned after becoming the most wanted person in the world.
Anyway, after you warned me about the CP organisation I sold my company to a wealthy noble in the Goa Kingdom. The money was enough for us to settle here. Now we have just a small farmhouse where we used to live in our childhood. Grey mostly manages that." Gem said to Maki.
"Well, that's good for you...You don't have much time left. So..... Can I stay here ?" Maki asked for the permission.
"Do as you please... You know what, I have a request. You don't have to do it if you have other things to do. But can you take care of Garp and Grey after I pass away. I know that Grey doesn't need any help. But Garp..... He is your male version. Both in strength and energy. Just for a few years." Gem asked reluctantly.
"You don't have to ask me that. I was planning to teach Garp anyway. You might not know the significance of our name, but with how the world is changing, he needs to be able to defend himself in the future. I will not appear in front of him in my normal human form. Nor I will try to influence him in anyway. So you can rest assured on that. But by the time I leave this Island, Garp will be strong enough to defend himself." Maki said reassuring her brother.

On 22nd June 1449, Monkey D Gem passed away. Maki attended the funeral in her zoan cat form and later talked with Grey. Since she has given Garp, the Monkey D family name, she agreed to Maki's request to train Garp.

Two years later, at the age of 5, when Garp tamed the king of the mountain, a small talking cat appeared in front of him. The cat easily defeated the brat. But determined to win Garp the cat until he wins. Soon he understood that no matter what he can't win the way he is. But then the cat proposed him to train under her. In exchange Garp will give her a good fight.
