A not so coincidencial accident
Kureha didn't know what the bad feeling in her stomach was. But she put that feeling aside.
"Hey, Kureha ! What are you waiting for ?" Roma called her.
And Kureha increased her speed to catch up to them.

Demian looked like shit. He understood, why the five elders were ready to go into such length in order to ensure the success of this mission. Their offer was too generous considering all he has to do is seducing a girl and then control her for a while.
He has tried to approach Kureha using his devil fruit powers. But one look from the 'beast' was enough to stop him in his tracks. Demian knew that if he approach, them carelessly, then he will die. But dieing is not an option. He has to survive and ensure that his sister is safe.
As a user of conqueror's haki Demian understood that the so called demon lord Maki has not used any type of haki when she looked at him. It was only for a brief moment. But her stare was enough to send shivers down his spine.
Demian immidiately retreated.
His devil fruit powers allowed him to create dreams. These dreams can be individual or communal. But he has mastered his devil fruit powers to such a degree that he could easily use it like an illusion. Trapping a group of people within a same dream and without them even realising it created the effect of an illusion. But this illusion can't be pierced or counted by observation haki. Unless the targets somehow wake up from their dreams, it was impossible to break free. On top of that he didn't need his targets to fall asleep in order trap them in their dreams. It was very convenient for him to trap his enemies in multiple layers of dreams and then take their life. But this time when he tried to trap Maki, Roma and Kureha in his dream, he failed miserably. While he trapped Kureha and Roma easily, Maki was simply unaffected by his powers.
She simply turned to stare at him. And that was enough. Demian immidiately released them and went away.
"Tch ! I can't do anything while that monster is around. Those geezers weren't kidding when they said that the demon king won't need a second to kill me. The only thing I can do now is make a plan to separate them." Demian grumbled. According to the geezers the only way to successfully trap them, was to trap their weak link.

The town in the whisky peak was not that big. And the market area is even smaller. While going towards a shop to buy wine, I felt something off. It was as if someone is forcing me to change my view. It was pathetic. Using my observation haki, I immediately found the culprit. It was a blonde young man with a burnt scar on his forehead....or may be boy ?
I didn't know what exactly he was trying to achieve by forcing us to experience something else than reality. I was not his only target. He was also targetting Kureha and Roma. I decided to scare him off. I have a feeling that the rabbit hole goes deeper than it looks, but I have no interest in capturing him. So I looked at him. Like everytime in the past blood lust along with a death stare, worked like a charm.
The guy immediately abandoned whatever he was trying to do and ran away. To my surprise even Roma didn't realise what has just happened.
I decided to stay on alert and continue our shopping.

After we finished our shopping, we decided to return to the ship.
While we were returning to the ship, Kureha suddenly spoke up.
"Hey, I just wanted to ask you. Did you feel anything out of the place in this morning ?"
I rose an eyebrow at her sudden question.
"So you felt it ? As I thought, you have somehow managed to awaken both observation and armament haki.
But that thing aside, even with haki I wasn't able to pinpoint what was exactly happening."
Roma also voiced her confusion.
"A blonde guy with a burnt mark on his face was trying to do something. Felt like trying to force us to see an illusion. It's hard to explain the exact feeling. But I scared him off. Don't worry about it, his target was probably me. But I doubt that he will come back after his ability didn't work on me." I assured them.
"Wait a minute, did you just tell that a guy with a blonde hair and burnt mark on his face ?" Roma asked me surprised.
"Yeah. Is there something you should tell us ?" I asked her.
"There was a famous pirate named Demian similar to your description. He has eaten a powerful paramicia type devil fruit, the dream dream fruit. But why in the world he would appear in such a place ? Last time any news came about him, he was hunting marines near the sabaody archipelago.
But even if he appears here, I doubt that he will be able to do anything to you." Roma dismissed the potential threat.
But, even though she was dismissive about it, I didn't want to take any risk.
"Alright. Even if he is not a threat for me, he is a threat for others.
To create the eternal log pose, I will go with Roxx. You should stay with Kureha." I told Roma. And she nodded.

A few hours after Roxx and Maki left the ship, Kureha stood up to strech her limbs. It has been three hours, since she has been studying.
Suddenly for some reason she felt thirst and went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. After drinking water, she went to the deck to get some fresh air. But after reaching there, she somehow found herself walking on the railings for fun. It felt unreal. As if she was very happy for something. But when doubts began rising in her mind, suddenly her feet slipped and she fell into the water.
Unknown to Kureha, it was not a coincidencial accident.
