I checked my compass as I was munching on a fish. My sail boat was primaryly meant for Speed. I had made it from the strongest wood in the mount Colobu for the purpose of capturing small sized sea kings. But mostly I never went more than 10 miles away from the dawn Island.

But now for the first time I have came far away from the dawn Island.

I looked towards the East where Sun was rising slowly. But the orange glow was really illuminating the entire ocean.

Getting up I adjusted the course a little. The sea chart of the east blue that I was holding was produced by the world government in general purpose. It can be bought in any Marine base for a fixed price. But obviously the sea chart was missing many islands. I have seen many old sea charts in mom's room. And the one she has has more than 50 Islands in the east blue map. And that was ignoring the small Island s without any inhabitants in them. But in my chart, there were only 32 Islands. But the thing was the chart provided by the marines was more accurate than the old charts of mom.

According to my sea chart, the sea route between dawn Island and kotoye Island was around 2900 miles long. It was a staggering distance. And knowing the round about route , it was not a surprise. Considering the average speed of a current Marine vessel is around 7 miles per hour in the blues depending on the wind speed, it takes awfully long time, to reach the kotoye Island directly from the dawn Island. Then there is also the issue of supply. The only way to store food is to seal them inside barrel. Considering that storing food for a long time in the sea is not a possible option. Not to mention most of the east blue vessels usually take a stop in every four to five days. There were other issues apart from these basic problems in directly travelling from Dawn Island to kotoye Island. The straight sea route contains a lot of whirlpools in between the two Islands. That's why for most of the ships, reaching kotoye Island text almost 19-20 days. But that was not the case with me. I could directly go from dawn Island to kotoye Island without any intermediate stops.

My sailboat was really fast. I didn't know how much distance I had covered, but I was on the right path. At least to my compass and my map.

I had learnt navigation with the help of Alfred. He has provided me with basic details and guided me to read through some necessary books which usually appears by coincidence and luck.

For example I once found a book on ship making randomly lying on the forest floor. It was the most ridiculous luck I ever had. But apart from that as Alfred has explained to me, he was helping me interfere in with the world itself what are the same time without breaking any rules.

East blue is considered as one of the most calm sea out of the four blues. So it should be easier to sail here than the grand line. At least that's what I thought at first.

The first night I didn't face any problem. In the second day apart from a few sea King I didn't face any problems either. But the main problem started in the second night. Suddenly out of no where a massive storm appeared. And the problem was that the storm didn't came alone. It brought high tides along with it.

And for a small boat like mine, it obviously didn't stand a chance in front of the powerful storm.

By the time sun rose again, I was floating on a boat without any sail. I had lost almost all of my supplies of food along with the sea chart and my spare clothes. The storm has completely destroyed the mast of my small sailboat. So I had to row it from there on.

While it wasn't a big problem for me with my strength and stamina, but certainly it was harder than just controlling the sails and cruze through the ocean.

On the third day I faced with many small and big whirlpools on the ocean.

Wrestling through them was another headache. But I somehow managed to do it while losing only one of my rowing paddles.

My progress became even slower with a single paddle to row the boat.

I had actually know idea sailing could be this hard. If I had known, then I would have been prepared better than this.

Thankfully, there were plenty of fishes available in the ocean. While eating them raw was not tasty, but they did the job of feeling my stomach.

And the final misfortune happened on the fourth night, when a large sea king decided to make me a long with my boat it's dinner.

Of course I had to tear my way through it's stomach, but after there I had no other choice but to swim. If that was not the worst, then I had to swim continuously for another 2 days when finally I reached an island.

Kotoye Island is a large Island with many cities and villages in it. But the most prominent City was the kotoye Kingdom. I had reached the shore of a small village in the west of the kotoye Island. By the time I finally reached land my clothes have turned to rags. Fortunately I hadn't lost mom's bracelet and the most important thing my compass.

After coincidentiality, helping an old man with some bandits, he provided me with some basic necessity and information. And with those I left for my new destination in the kotoye Island, the restock town in the northeast of the island.
