Chapter 18 - chapter 18: Date night 1

*Click

Their heads turned to the direction of the click they heard, seeing jade with her phone in hand taking a picture of them.

"Shit, I forgot to turn the sound off." She mumbled to herself as it was the reason she was caught.

Adria in an attempt to hide her blushing face leaned on Andre's chest, his shirt serving as a veil for her face. Andre chuckled slightly seeing how cute she was acting right now.

They had both completely forgotten that jade was with them as they were too immersed in the presence of each other.

"Well this is even better." Jade stated as she took more pictures of them.

"How was the shopping?." He asked, directing the question to jade.

"Well, we didn't exactly get what we wanted but we did get few things that we liked." Jade replied shrugging casually as she browsed through the pictures she took

"Before I forget, where's aunty? I haven't seen her today and I need her help." She asked, looking at Andre as she waited for her answer.

"Mum went back to the penthouse to get some things she said might help." He explained to jade.

"She went back, is that safe?" Jade inquired worrily.

"Don't worry Marco is with her. They will be back tomorrow." Andre told her as he checked the time on his wrist watch, it was eleven minutes past eight.

"Okay that's enough questions. You both go and enjoy your night, drink some wine, eat some expensive food and chat. Oh and one more thing, don't do anything I wouldn't do." Jade said wiggling her eyes suggestively at them.

Adria burst out laughing because of how funny jade looked doing that while Andre chuckled softly.

After she had stopped laughing, Adria took a step closer to jade and hugged her as she whispered in her ear.

"Get a boyfriend."

Pulling away jade could see the smirk on her face as she teased her. As a response she only rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, sure. Now shoo. Get going already, I have to go rub my win in Esther's face." She said as she made a shooing motion with her hands.

Adria and Andre walked towards the black Mercedes he was leaning on earlier. Being a gentleman man he opened her door for her.

"Oh my, chivalry does exist." Adria exclaimed dramatically as she placed her hand on her chest, feigning shock.

Leaning down, he whispered hotly into her ears,

"Only for you, Tesoro."

Adria's face was as flushed as a tomato as she quickly got into the car to hide her blushing. Andre gently closed her door as he rounded the car to get to the driver's side.

Adria watched him as he pulled out of the driveway. He had this sexy smirk on his face and it was doing a lot of things to her.

Trying to diffuse the hot tension building up, she asked whatever came to mind.

"So where are we going?"

"Hmm, somewhere." He replied as he glanced at her, still smirking. If she didn't know any better she would think that that's the only thing he does with his face, smirk.

"Where's the somewhere?" She asked, anything to keep her mind from going to dirty things.

"That I can't tell you Tesoro." He replied.

"Come on. Give me a hint, any hint. Please." She said pouting cutely.

"Ok. The hint is, it's a place." He said, laughing at the frustrated look on her face.

"Fine, I won't ask again." She said folding her arms as she turned to face the window, looking at the houses and trees that were blurry because of how fast he was driving.

The route they were taking didn't seem familiar but she trusted Andre, he knew what he was doing. She also noticed that they were no guards following them for their protection.

Turning to face him, she questioned,

"Alej, did you call off the guards."

"Hmm, yeah. I wanted tonight to us only, no guards looming in the shadows. Besides if anything were to happen I would always protect you. That's a promise Renee" he said as he stared right into her eyes.

Breaking eye contact as he focused back on the road, Adria knew that no matter what, he would never break that promise. The intensity in his eyes as he made the promise spoke more than enough volumes. He would do anything to keep her safe, even if he had to sell his soul to the devil.

But Adria knew that it wouldn't come to that, even if she didn't say it out loud. She had made a promise to herself that she would always stand by his side, no matter what.

The silence that wrapped around them was one of understanding and it was comfortable. This type of silence didn't need to be broken, it needed to be felt, to be understood.

As they got closer, Adria marveled at the beautiful scenery they drove past.

Few minutes later, Andre pulled into the driveway of a restaurant. The outside of the restaurant didn't look too classy nor did it look local. It looked warm and inviting as it was a three storey building with glass as walls. The glass wasn't entirely see through but you would be able to point out some things inside.

Andre came down first and then went around to open the door for Adria. Coming out, she was amazed by the view that greeted her. The restaurant was close to the beach and you could smell the salt water in the air. It added to the magical scenery as the moon that shone down on the restaurant created a beautiful painting like view.

Looking opposite the restaurant, if you walked down a bit, you would end up at the beach. On the right side of the restaurant were tall palm trees that swayed beautifully to the songs of the breeze, casting beautiful shadows over the place. On the left was a small cottage looking house.

"Wow, this is beautiful." Adria said, turning around slowly, taking everything in as she could almost feel the magic in the air.

"Wait till you see the inside." He told her as they walked hand in hand to the door of the restaurant. As they entered the restaurant, they walked to the receptionist who was a lady looking in her early thirties. Andre conversed with her as Adria took in the interior of the building.

The lighting was warm, fitting the simple but yet unique design of the restaurant. Turning to face them, she turned in to the conversation.

"Oh, right. Mr Lopez, we have your reservation for the VIP room. You can go right in. Someone will lead you there. Have a nice night ahead Mr Lopez." The lady said politely as she pointed to the door on her right.

Andre nodded and walked with Adria's hand in his as he went to the elevator that would take them up.

Coming out of the elevator, Adria was completely and utterly stunned. The VIP room had only three tables and a private kitchen. But that wasn't what caught her attention.

It was the ceiling or in this case lack of it. The roof of the restaurant was made of glass and she could see everything clearly. She could see the stars as they twinkled in the night sky, the crescent moon present in the sky. It looked like something out of a fairytale.

Ok getting to their seats, a waitress came to their table.

"Good evening. I'm Melanie, your waitress for tonight. What would you like to drink for starters." She said as she placed the menus on the table. Adria didn't fail to notice that while saying all this her focus was entirely on Andre, she didn't even acknowledge that he was with someone.

She decided to see what Andre response would be as she focused her attention on him.

"We would like two glasses of the TeWahi Pinot noir. That's all for now." He said not even sparing her a glance as his gaze was on Adria.

"Ok, coming right up." She stated as she left to prepare their orders.

"What do you think?" He asked her as Melanie left.

"It's beautiful, and magical. How did you find this place?" She asked as she looked around, amazed as this was the first time she had seen something like this.

"I found this spot when I was just driving around and I loved it. I thought you might like it too that's why I brought you here." He sincerely told her.

Gazing at him with a beautiful smile on her face she responded,

"I love it, Alej."

Just then, Melanie came back with their wime. As she lowered it on the table, she faced Andre's direction, with the top three of her blouse button open, revealing an ample amount of cleavage.

"Would you like to order now?" She asked in a sultry voice.

Adria felt disgusted by her behavior, couldn't she see that he was clearly with someone. But disgust wasn't the only thing she felt. She felt something foreign, a feeling she had never felt before. She couldn't quite identify it yet but she knew it made he feel like ripping the girls hair.

"Not now." Andre replied as he looked at her.

The emotion Adria was feeling increased as she saw that Andre was giving Melanie attention.

"Ok, is there anything else I could help with?" She said suggestively in a high pitch sultry voice.

"Yes. Call me the manager." Andre requested as his gaze went to the menu as he picked it up.

"Uhmm, is there a problem?. Maybe I can help, I don't have to call the manager." Melanie said as she tried to avoid involving the manager as she already had an idea of why he was needed.

Sighing, Andre dropped the menu back on the table and faced her with a cold look that made her shiver and move two steps back.

"If there's one thing I hate, it's having to repeat myself when you have two perfectly working ears." That was all he said and that had Melanie leaving to call the manager. The look he had given her was enough to have her obeying without further questions.

Adria watched everything unfold right in front of her. She was happy with Andre's response to the slutty waitress.

They locked eyes and his gaze immediately softened, only for the one in front of him. His lips gently drew into a smirk as he had an idea of what was going through her mind.

"Found anything you want to order yet?" He asked her.

"Uhm, no. I haven't looked at the menu yet." She admitted sheepishly as she picked up the menu.

"Yeah. Noticed you were staring at me. I wouldn't mind you having me for dinner but you would still need actual food." He teased her, watching her blush as she lifted the menu higher. Hiding her face from his view.

Andre chuckled as he pushed the menu away from her face, leaning over and whispered hotly into her ears.

"Don't hide your face from me. I love it when you blush." Hearing that only made her face grow hotter.

At that moment a man came to their table closely followed by Melanie.

As the man's saw Alejandre's face, a look of recognition flashed across his face.

"Good evening Mr Lopez. How may I help you?" The man said with a little bow that had Adria and Melanie shocked.

"Good evening Mr Rogers. I believe that people rate restaurants according to the delivery service of the staffs. Am I right?" He asked the manager.

"Yes, that is correct sir." He replied.

"Good and I believe bad reviews is because of bad service. Isn't that right? And isn't it also right to get rid of what isn't good for business?" He questioned with an eyebrow raised.

"You are right Mr Lopez." The manager replied.

"Okay. Assign a new waitress to my table, I want her fired. If I recall, it isn't part of the job description I gave to flirt with a client and also ignore a client." He said and everyone's mouth fell open for different reasons.

Adria was shocked at the revelation that he owned the place.

Melanie's mouth was open because she didn't know that he was the CEO and she had just lost her job.

The Manager was surprised at the behavior of the staff he employed.

Turning to face her he spoke clearly.

"You heard the boss. You are fired, effective immediately. Pack your things and leave, you would be sent this months payment."

The waitress was about to put up an argument but thought better of it. She had heard stories of how even though the Lopez heir was young, he was ruthless in the business world. And right now, not only did she lose her job, if he wanted, she would never be able to work anywhere else. She had ruined her life with her own hand.

As she walked away in shame, the manager addressed the couple.

"I apologize for the problems she had cause. I would assign a more efficient waitress to your table. Enjoy the rest of your evening." He said as her left to do his job.

Andre turned to face Adria who still had that shocked look on her face.

"You didn't tell me you owned this restaurant?" She said accusingly.

"You didn't ask." He said, sipping the wine in his glass.

"Oh and Renee." He called and she looked up from the menu at him.

"You look hot when you have that possessive look on."

And again he succeeded in making her blush for the upteenth time that night.
