*******The previous day*******
Alejandre had just left the class after the bell rung, not without noticing the stares girls gave him, he was already used to it. As he was at the door, he turned to look at Adria and saw that she was talking with someone, he knew that when she was done she would come look for him because seeing that look in her eyes earlier when she asked where he transferred from, he knows she wouldn't give up until she got her answers.
He was about heading to the next class when his phone rang, looking at the caller id he picked the call and stated in a cold voice,
"Speak"
"Boss, we've found their location." The person on the other end said.
"Send it, I'm going to pay them a visit." Andre told the person.
"Ok don. Should I arrange a team to go with you. I can have meta and flame ...." The person was suggesting but Andre interrupted him.
"No need, I'm going alone." Andre said with a tone of finality.
"But don, what about your mother?."
"What about her?" He asked.
"She has been requesting to see you and we are running out of what to tell her before she becomes suspicious."
"It's your job to come up with more excuses, and on no account should my mother know what I'm doing because the day she finds out is the day you all breath your last. Am I clear?." Andre said in a cold voice that the person on the other end felt chills run through him hearing his voice. He knew better than to take his boss' threats lightly.
"Yes don." He replied gulping down nothing.
"Good" Andre said and with that he ended the call. Looking back, hoping to catch a glimpse of Adria but saw that she hadn't come out yet. He went out of the school premises and drove his car out. Getting to the security check, all he said to the security was the name "Alejandre Lopez" and he was allowed to leave even though school was still in session.
Receiving a message, he checked his phone and saw it was the location. He typed it Into his car's gps and followed the instructions on getting there. When he finally arrived and saw the building, he scoffed slightly. So this is where they kept the information, he thought. The building was located away from the city and was situated not too deep in the woods. He parked his car away from the building but not too far away. He looked at his phone studying the building layout and blueprint.
On his way here he had peter send him the layout and blueprint of the building. Peter was the one who had called him earlier. Closely studying the entry and exit, he estimated how many guards would be stationed at each and how much time it would take for the other guards to arrive if they were informed.
He has formed a plan in his head and all that remained was action. He got out of his car taking his backpack that contained the devices he needed, he placed a gun at his back, had knives at both sides of his boots. For Alejandre, breaking into a facility with almost 50 guards and high security system was an easy task.
He decided to go in through the back entrance which had fewer guards than the main entrance. Putting his balaclava on, he went closer to the building. Due to the blueprint he studied, he was able to trace where the hidden tunnel was which led him directly to the back entrance. Coming out of the tunnel, he saw that there were at least ten guards moving around this part but only two directly guarded the door to the building.
Bringing out a jamming device, he placed it on the wall, the device would jam any signals within a 3-7 kilometer radius, and it would last for 20-40 minutes which meant that he had to be out of here, latest 30 minutes.
Coming out from his hiding place, he went towards the two guys who had their guard down, due to them not expecting an attack, he was able to take both of them down easily. Taking the first guard's id, he placed it on the screen by the side of the door, scanning it. The door opened and he went in taking the id along knowing he would need it.
According to the blueprint, the room which held the information he needed was on the second floor. He took the stairs up knowing no one would use it while there was a lift. When he got to the second floor, he came out and saw five guards heading in his direction, he had already been spotted.
"Great, this should be fun." He muttered to himself.
One of them tried informing others about the intruder through his walkie talkie but it was going through. Andre only smirked knowing the signal had been jammed. The guards realized this and was furious.
"How about we do it this way, you let me pass through to get what I want and I would let you all go home with your bones intact." Andre said, taunting them. They all looked at each and seemed to have a mutual understanding, they brought out their guns and began firing at him.
Andre knew they were going to do this and got behind a wall before any bullet could hit him. Looking across the hall, he saw the room which he needed to get to but to do that he had to pass through the five of them, taking out a smoke bomb, he threw it and it went of blinding the temporarily. Andre was able to see through the smoke because of the balanclava he wore which was made specially for him. The guards kept on shooting at his direction even though they couldn't see anything but they ran out of bullets. Andre was grateful that the wall were sound proofed so the other guards weren't alerted by the gunshots.
As they were struggling to put another round of bullets, Andre took this chance and came out, targeting their arm and leg, he made sure to shoot each of their right hand and their left leg. While they groaned on the ground he went and knocked them unconscious. He moved across the hall and got to the door of the room, entering in the password which peter had told him opened the door.
Going into the room, he found it was like an office. He walked towards the wall cabinet and pulled it open, he found the safe he knew held the document he came here for. He brought out a piece of paper which contained a series of numbers that opens the safe. After a while of turning the combinations, a click sound echoed around the silent office as the safe opened.
Bringing the files out, he read through them and confirmed that it was what he came here for. He decided it was time to leave before the others realized that something was wrong. Coming out he passed through the unconscious bodies laying on the ground and headed to the stairs. Going down he came out the back door, but unfortunately for him a guard spotted him and shouted, alerting those around.
Andre decided to make a run for the tunnel, but luck wasn't entirely on his side as a stray bullet hit him on the stomach and another shattered his balaclava. Unknown to him, a surveillance camera caught his side profile but it wasn't clear enough to identify his entire face.
Making his way towards his car, he dumped the documents in the back seat and drove off. Getting to his apartment, he called peter to send a doctor over and to keep it between them. As he ended the call, he went to his bar and got a bottle of whiskey out, drinking from the bottle he poured some on the bullet wound on his stomach.
The only sound of pain was a groan that left his lips. An hour later, the doctor arrived and had checked and cleaned up. He advised him on taking a lot of rest and not doing anything that would strain the wound and open up the stitches. Luckily the bullet wasn't deep and he hadn't lost too much blood.
After the doctor had left, Andre got back to work completely disregarding the advise he received on rest. He only fell asleep few hours later due to stress and fatigue of the day catching up to him.
********Present*********
Andre had actually come to school in order to get a file from the teachers staff room when he was attacked and pursued by the two earlier guys because they worked for the person he took those documents from.
After they had left, he looked at the girl he was covering, realizing how close they were he moved back, creating some space between them.
He studied her closely noticing how her look changed from that of shock to realization and then back to shock and now she had a look of determination. He knew there was no escaping the questions he was sure she had lined up for him.
He noticed how her lips parted slightly as she was about to say something but didn't know where to start from. The thought going through his mind right now was how her lips would taste on his cause they looked so enticing right now.
Andre realizing where his train of thoughts wandered off to frowned slightly. This had been happening after he first saw her again in years. He didn't know why he only thought that way about her. Looking at her he saw he expression change to worry.
"You're bleeding", she said staring at the spot where he was shot the previous day.
"Shit" he said, only now did he feel the pain. The stitches must have torn open when he was running away from those guys earlier.
"Come on, we need to get you cleaned up." She said dragging him out of the library and towards her car. Andre let her drag him with her, normally he wouldn't let any girl touch him but he allowed her. He didn't know what he was feeling, he found himself craving for more of her touches.
She told him to get in the car while she went to the driver's side.
"What's your address?" She asked him.
He told her and she started driving, heading to his apartment. Andre knew that he had to answer her questions, even if he wouldn't tell her everything yet, but she needed to know some things.
Adria drove into the compound, parking the car they both got out and Andre led the way to his door. Getting his keys out, he opened the door and that went in.
"Where's your first aid box?" Adria asked turning to face him.
"Third cabinet on your left when you enter the kitchen." He told her as he headed to the couch and lay down on it.
Adria got it and came to him. Lifting his shirt off she inspected the wound and frowned.
"This is a bullet wound, who shot you?" She asked with a frown on her face.
"Hmmm, if I didn't know better it would seem like you care." He said instead.
Adria just looked at him for a while then focused on cleaning his wound and changing the dressing. When she was done she went to dispose of the changed bandages, coming back into the room she heard him say something that had her rooted in her spot, staring at him.
"So what's your first question, huh Renee?" He asked.
Adria stared at him, wondering how he knew that name that she hadn't been called in years and how her chest fluttered hearing the way he said it.
"How do you know that name?" She asked instead.
"There's a lot I know about you." He replied.
