"Do you think Jael is really upset?" Caspian asked with furrowed brows, piling Asher's plate high with way too much chicken.
"He's not," Asher said confidently, letting him do whatever he wanted. "He probably has somewhere to be."
With the conversation ending there, the table went silent and that was because Caspian would rather not address the misunderstanding that made Jael leave the dinner table early.
He was still yet to make his hospital visit, he didn't want to make his abstinence harder than it already was.
Dinner felt a tad empty with Jael presence, and although Asher had reassured him that it was fine, Caspian was still worried.
That only lasted until he was settled on Asher watching crime shows. He was so happy and content that if he were a cat, he'd be purring.
And Jael had been right, falling asleep was easy, Asher's scent and body heat put him right to sleep after hours of watching shows.
