Betty was more than thrilled. She was trying to climb up Asher's leg while Caspian was panicking because he honestly didn't know how well the Mafia King did with children.
"Betty come over here, we've bothered the nice couple enough," Her mom tried to cajole her but the toddler wasn't having in.
She sat on Asher's legs like a CEO behind a desk, heaving from the effort it took her to get up there.
Asher just let her do whatever she wanted, uncaring that she was reaching for the steak on his plate.
"You can't eat that," Her mom swooped forward to pick her up, an apologetic smile on her face.
"I'll take her with me now, thank you so much," She said genuinely, looking slightly less tired.
Caspian glanced down at his tray as they left, "Where did my fries go?"
