Lake had asked for privacy to tell his predicament, and Caspian had given it to him, much to his bodyguards' disapproval.
So now, they were currently stepping out of the car and he still hadn't been forced to give his story.
He held on tightly to his bag, turning down Caspian's offer to have someone take it into the huge mansion for him.
"I don't think I'll need to leave again," Caspian was saying, addressing Peter and Keith. "But, you can hang around if you like, the movie room is always open."
Lake avoided the piercing glare the Beta he had come to know as Peter shot him, the other bodyguard mostly looked bored.
Caspian didn't wait for their response, grabbing Lake's wrist and starting for the mansion.
Staff from the kitchen were already heading to the car to take inthe fruits that he bought.
"I have to stop by the kitchen real quick before we have that conversation," Caspian said apologetically.
