Before Nami fought the Arlong, Kahn and Boa Hancock had already taken care of the other Fish-Men.
Without Kahn needing to intervene, Hancock, with her sharp Observation Haki, used her lightning strikes to grill all the scattered Fish-Men in Cocoyasi Village. Unlike Enel's lightning, which isn't fatal, Hancock's lightning reaches a staggering 500 million volts. Now, her lightning can range from zero to 300 million volts instantly without the need for charging.
In other words, if Hancock desires, even her casual attack starts at 300 million volts. Against this kind of power, unless someone possesses Armament Haki of a high enough capacity or exceptional quality, they won't stand a chance. Even Giants would fall charred and unconscious, emitting white smoke after being struck by Hancock's lightning.
If Giants can't withstand her blows, ordinary people or even enhanced humans are doomed. The Fish-Men, of course, were no exception.
The terrifying sight of lightning raining down and obliterating the Fish-Men terrified many of the villagers who witnessed it.
After the battle on Nami's side concluded, Kahn used his telekinesis to bring down Asie and his daughter, who had stayed on the ship and then walked towards Nami and Genzo.
Kahn needed to help Nami reconcile with the villagers before taking both her and Nojiko with him.
It had been almost a year since Bell-mère had been killed. During Nami's absence, while she was out stealing, Nojiko had already secretly told the villagers about the 100 million berry deal between Nami and Arlong.
Now, the villagers were merely pretending to ignore Nami as part of a coordinated act.
Once the bodies of Arlong and his crew were thrown in the village square, the villagers would definitely gather immediately upon seeing them.
…
After Kahn meets with Monet and the others, the revenge is complete. Nami, crying in Monet's arms, turned to Kahn with teary red eyes and said, "Master, thank you… thank you for giving me the power to take revenge!"
Her voice choked up, and she couldn't finish the sentence.
However, as Kahn had suspected, Nami's heart had begun to shift towards him.
In terms of a game metaphor, Kahn had completed the bond mission and fully won over Nami, the future world's greatest navigator.
"You're welcome. Let's reconcile with the villagers first."
Kahn placed a hand on Nami's head, gently patting her, before using his telekinesis to lift the corpses of Arlong and his crew, carrying them to the square in Cocoyasi Village.
"Nami, what's going on?"
"Nami, are you okay?"
"Nami, who are they?"
Just as Kahn expected, when the bodies of the Fish-Men were piled in the village square, the villagers, despite pretending with Nami earlier, gathered anxiously and worriedly around her.
Seeing the villagers care so much about her, Nami, who was clever, realized that Nojiko had informed them. She wept, grinning through her tears, and said, "Everyone, it's all over now!"
That night, the bodies of Arlong and his crew were thrown into the sea to feed the fish, while a huge bonfire lit up the square as the villagers held a lively banquet, singing and dancing in celebration.
However, Kahn, Monet, and the others didn't join in. They had other matters to attend to. Monet, using the abilities of the Op-Op Fruit, helped Nami remove the Dragon Pirates tattoo from her arm. In its place, Nami tattooed the symbol of the "Cross Family" where the old tattoo once was.
Now, Nami felt more grateful to Kahn than nostalgic for Bell-mère.
While Monet erased the tattoo, Kahn extended an invitation to Nojiko, offering her a position as a maid. Surprised and slightly flustered, Nojiko's heart fluttered, but she declined, wanting to stay behind to tend to Bell-mère's orange grove.
Kahn, whose Observation Haki allowed him to sense her emotions clearly, only smiled and, without hesitation, revealed his next move. He asked Monet to expand her Room and used his telekinesis to carefully lift Bell-mère's entire orange grove, cutting it from the ground with precision.
With the orchard floating behind him, Kahn smiled at the stunned Nojiko and asked, "Now you can come with us, right?"
Moved by Kahn's gesture and not wanting to lose the last piece of Bell-mère, Nojiko finally couldn't resist and, with a bright smile, nodded. "Please take me with you, Master!"
And so, the Cross Family gained another member, bringing Kahn's team of maids to thirteen.
The next day, Nami and Nojiko bid farewell to the villagers. Under their awestruck gazes, Kahn transformed into a massive dragon nearly 200 meters long. He then used his telekinetic powers to lift both the ship, Grandine, and the orange grove, leading them into the sky and heading towards the North Blue.
After nearly a year abroad, Kahn was eager to return, knowing Hancock, Robin, and the others must miss him as much as he missed them.
Now that he had obtained pure gold, Kahn wanted to share it with them. Unlike before, when he recruited Scarlett and Monet and let them explore freely, Kahn planned to let Nami and the others grow before taking them on more adventures.
While traveling, Kahn also bought valuable materials through the black market, asking Hancock to use her skills to melt the pure gold and craft hundreds of pieces of jewelry—rings, necklaces, earrings, and pendants. Each piece glistened in its natural, radiant gold, for pure gold could not be plated with other materials, or it would lose its life-prolonging effects.
Though the shimmering jewellery was unmistakably valuable, Kahn had no worries about others coveting it, as the Cross Family feared no power. The more prominent pieces, like rings and earrings, were reserved for the powerful Hancock and others, while the life maids would receive necklaces and pendants.
Kahn also planned to keep a special ring for each of the beautiful maids, giving them out when the moment felt right.
