High-coldness has its benefits, and Asahi has its own advantages.
A cold person can seem hard to get along with.
On the other hand, people like Asahi are easy to gain favour with and are pleasant to be around.
Kahn is the Asahi type.
Of course, this is only if you are useful to him. Then, you will see Kahn's Asahi side.
If you are unfamiliar and useless to him, Kahn will be cold and ignore you like air.
Monet and Sugar are obviously useful to Kahn.
They are giants and cadres chosen by Kahn long ago.
Therefore, Kahn was very patient in developing relationships with them.
In the next few days, Kahn presented his best side to Monet and Sugar.
He chatted with them about their families, learned about their pasts, and comforted them.
Instead of rushing to instruct them and leading them into the world of superhumans, he even cooked meals with Monet and made some of Sugar's favourite desserts.
After eating and drinking, they enjoyed the pool, court, shooting range, and various indoor entertainments in the Grandine cabin.
If they were tired of indoor activities, they went fishing or rode a Sky Island speciality, the Veba.
Monet and Sugar, having never seen these things before, were instantly addicted.
For Kahn, who played these games with them, their affection grew daily.
In just a few days, the shy Sugar started calling him "Master" smoothly.
Monet did, too.
Every night these days, Monet would secretly rejoice in bed.
She was glad to have met the Master, thinking about how their lives could have been worse than pigs and dogs, used by soldiers or enemies to vent their anger, beaten, or humiliated to death.
Kahn, with his natural Observation Haki, saw this pair of sisters' growing affection for him, filling him with a sense of accomplishment.
With this skyrocketing speed, he could give them Devil Fruits after returning to the New World.
The time came to the end of May in 1509 on the Sea Circle Calendar.
After several days of sailing and changing directions, Kahn finally found the Germa battleship where Vinsmoke Judge was located, also known as the famous North Blue - "Saint Germain".
When the Grandine was tens of kilometres away from the Saint-Germain, Kahn began to act.
"Master, where are you going in this outfit?"
Monet, not yet a qualified maid, asked curiously when she saw Kahn come out of the cabin wearing a black cloak, a hood covering his short blue hair, and a white mask on his face.
"I'm going to meet someone. It's not convenient to show my face."
Kahn squatted down, touched Sugar's head on his thigh, and told Monet, "Wait for me on the boat. Don't be afraid. You and the Grandine are within my perception range. My Devil Fruit ability can see you and protect you."
After finishing speaking, Kahn gently pushed Sugar away, and a blue photon floated out of the cloak. Then, his figure soared into the sky.
Using telekinesis to eliminate the air barrier, Kahn, wearing a black cloak, shot into the sky like a black meteor, disappearing from Monet and Sugar's sight in the blink of an eye.
Immediately, Kahn seemed to reassure them that he was not lying.
An apple wrapped in telekinetic power floated up from the fruit basket on the table and flew back and forth in front of the two women.
Seeing this, the hearts of the two women immediately calmed.
After comforting them from the air, Kahn quickly flew over the Saint-Germain and then disappeared into an afterimage.
Boom! Bang, bang, bang!
As Kahn's figure vanished, a domineering aura instantly enveloped the entire Saint-Germain.
Not only that, but this aura also turned into a blue mask visible only to those with awakened Haki, forming a hemisphere that covered a radius of more than ten miles.
Within this range, everyone and every Den Den Mushi on the Saint-Germain, along with the sea beasts in the translucent layer of the sea, rolled their eyes and passed out unconsciously.
This included Vinsmoke Judge, the head of the Vinsmoke Family.
To stun him, Kahn unleashed his Conqueror's Haki with all his might.
This was the first time he used Conqueror's Haki since awakening it at the age of nine.
If this failed to stun Vinsmoke Judge, Kahn would have to resort to a sneak attack.
Fortunately, Vinsmoke Judge was just a scientist, not very powerful.
Or rather, his strength relied entirely on Germa's battle suit.
Caught off guard by Kahn's full-power Conqueror's Haki, Judge was defenceless and fell like everyone else.
After stunning Vinsmoke Judge, Kahn, already inside the Saint-Germain, quickly approached him.
Crouching down and pressing Judge's head, Kahn used his natural Observation Haki to read his memory.
Unlike before, when he only read some important memories, this time Kahn spent a lot of Haki reading all of Judge's scientific research memories.
Like watching a movie, Judge's scientific research experience played in Kahn's mind.
Kahn did not immediately digest these foreign memories but preserved them.
Next, Kahn found the underground facility for manufacturing the clone army from Judge's memory.
In this base, housing a huge facility for creating human clones, Kahn quickly opened a secret compartment containing several safes requiring passwords to open.
After opening the safes, Kahn successfully obtained all of Judge's research materials and various blueprints.
After a simple inspection, he used his telekinetic power to pack up the safes and take them away.
If it hadn't been for the enormous size of this underground facility and the clones' bloodlines being programmed not to fear death and never betray Judge, Kahn would have moved it as well.
However, after reading Judge's memory and taking away all the scientific research materials, Kahn found it a simple task to build a similar underground facility.
Using telekinetic power to hold the safes, he left the Saint-Germain and quickly returned to the Grandigne.
Kahn didn't kill Vinsmoke Judge.
In Kahn's eyes, Judge was one of the most valuable people in the world.
When he changed his job to be a scientist, if he encountered something he didn't understand, he could return to North Blue to 'ask' Judge.
Yes, Kahn came to North Blue this time not only to trade for the Op-Op Fruit but also to obtain Judge's memory and scientific research data so he could become a scientist himself.
Both were key to establishing the "Cross Family" as the overlord of the sea.
