Chapter 39 - Mansherry

"Kahn, is this your prize?"

Kahn had just placed Morlaix next to Dressrosa and flew back to Dressrosa's shores, transforming from a dragon back into his human form.

Hancock was the first to use teleportation to appear beside Kahn, followed not by Robin and Sonia but Scarlett.

Looking across the coast at Morlaix Island, which was only separated by a "long river," Scarlett couldn't help asking, "Do you want to establish the headquarters of the 'Cross Family' on this island?"

"No."

Kahn shook his head and smiled. "The headquarters of the 'Cross Family' is not this island but another one. But this island has an astonishing amount of minerals. I will build a factory here to produce other things."

"I see."

Scarlett was slightly taken aback.

Not long after, Robin and the others rushed over from the flower field.

"Master, welcome back."

Robin greeted Kahn first, then turned her head to look over her left shoulder and said with a smile, "Mansherry, haven't you wanted to see Master these days? Why are you so shy now?"

"That...that..."

Hearing Robin's words, a small head suddenly popped out of Robin's strapless cuff. He looked at Kahn timidly and greeted him as softly as a mosquito, "Ka...Master Kahn, hello."

"Little people?"

Kahn's eyes lit up immediately, and he responded enthusiastically, "Nice to meet you, Mansherry."

At the same time, Kahn secretly gave Robin a thumbs up in his heart.

As expected of Robin, she was so reliable!

When asking Robin to meet the little people, Kahn casually mentions that Robin has built a good relationship with the princess of the little people.

He didn't tell Robin that Mansherry would be a member of their family in the future, and she was also the ship's doctor for the "Cross Family."

Unexpectedly, Robin not only established a good relationship with the princess of the little human race but also brought her out of the Tontatta Kingdom.

Kahn's natural Observation Haki clearly sensed that there was only Mansherry, a small human, present.

In other words, the little people did not send guards to protect the princess.

In the original story, Leo, who had a childhood sweetheart relationship with Mansherry, didn't follow her either.

Just letting the princess come out with a pirate, I have to say, the heart of the little people is really big.

No wonder their weakness is innocence and kindness, and they easily believe other people's lies.

But at the same time, this is also a manifestation of Robin's charm and ability.

Obviously, Robin had perfectly completed the task assigned by Kahn. She not only gained the favour of the little people but also successfully became friends with their princess and told Mansherry about Kahn's deeds. Four-year-old Mansherry was full of curiosity about Kahn.

Looking at the smiling Kahn, Mansherry seemed to feel his kindness, and her inner tension slowly dissipated.

After learning that Kahn, like Robin, is a kind and gentle person,

Mansherry lost her shyness and looked at Kahn carefully.

Kahn also came over and chatted with Mansherry with a gentle smile.

After a few words, Kahn managed to touch Mansherry's head with his fingers under her timid gaze.

Then, seeing through the movement of the heart, Kahn immediately read the memories of the few years that Mansherry had just come into this world.

Soon, Kahn grasped Mansherry's interests and hobbies and knew how to get along with her.

Meanwhile, Kahn also received good news.

Mansherry and Leo, when they were three years old, had already become Devil Fruit users. They didn't know that what they ate were Devil Fruits and just called their healing and sewing abilities thaumaturgy. But now, Mansherry knew she was a Devil Fruit user.

The reason she became friends with Robin so quickly was because she adored Robin. Robin's gentle and calm personality, rich knowledge, and wonderful experiences made Mansherry admire her greatly. Like Scarlett, she was also looking forward to exploring the world.

In the past few days, Mansherry had been pestering Robin, asking her to tell stories about the outside world and their adventures. It was through Robin's narration that Mansherry became full of curiosity about Kahn, the hero who saved Robin and proved that Kahn was not the villain he was made out to be.

After digesting this information, Kahn knew how to quickly gain Mansherry's favour. Of course, he wasn't in a hurry to act immediately. The little people were easy to win over; as long as he treated them sincerely, Mansherry would become part of the family in no time.

During their chat, Kahn and his group returned to their ship in the flower garden. Then Scarlett asked if Kahn knew he made a big splash again.

By reading her mind, Kahn immediately understood, but on the surface, he showed a hint of doubt to play along.

Seeing this, Scarlett immediately looked excited, took out the newspaper and bounty poster, and handed them to Kahn.

"One billion fifty-five million berries?"

Kahn glanced at the brand new bounty poster and slightly raised the corner of his mouth. "This amount should scare those idiots, right?"

"Then I can leave the New World temporarily with peace of mind."

Hearing this, Scarlett's eyes lit up, and she asked, "Kahn, are you leaving the New World?"

"Yes..."

Kahn nodded. "I'm going back to West Blue for a while to arrange some things and maybe go to other sea areas."

"Then, can you take me with you?" Scarlett asked expectantly.

Mansherry, who was sitting on Robin's shoulder, also looked at Kahn with her beautiful eyes shining slightly.

"No problem."

Kahn had already considered this. "As long as your father agrees, you and your sister can come with me and Mansherry too."

With those words, Kahn smiled at Mansherry on Robin's shoulder.

"Great, then I'll go back and convince my father now."

Scarlett cheered, then got up to say goodbye to Kahn and his group and walked down the boat ladder with the hem of her skirt.

Seeing Her Royal Highness getting off the boat, Kyros, who had been protecting her from a distance, reappeared.

"Master, are we going to West Blue?"

After Scarlett left, Mary, who hadn't been to Kahn's hometown yet, asked with shining eyes.

"Yes."

Kahn nodded and then said with a meaningful smile, "I'm going back to West Blue to move some things over, but I'm not in a hurry for now. I'll help you improve your strength first."
