"Master, the Log Pose seems to be malfunctioning," Robin said, noticing the change in the Log Pose on the table as she prepared black tea for Kahn, who was reading a magazine.
"No, it's not malfunctioning," Kahn replied, flipping through the pages of the magazine while controlling the Ship, which was soaring into the sky. "It's just being attracted by the magnetic force of an island in the sky, so it's pointing upwards."
"Eh?" Robin was momentarily puzzled.
Hancock, who was nearby and practising the Rokushiki, looked up in surprise. "Are there islands floating in the sky in this world?"
"It's amazing. Is this the outside world?" Sonia and Mary also looked skyward with bright eyes.
"It's normal," Kahn explained calmly. "Since Fish-Man Island exists 10,000 meters below the sea, it's not surprising that there's a Sky Island 10,000 meters above."
"That makes sense," Robin nodded, agreeing with Kahn.
As for how Kahn knew about Sky Island, Robin assumed it was due to his advanced Observation Haki. Robin knew Kahn's Observation Haki could integrate with telekinetics and see places hundreds of kilometres away. To someone like him, seeing something 10,000 meters above wasn't a big deal.
Robin, aware of Kahn's immense power, had developed a calm demeanour over the past two years, no matter what she faced. This calmness suggested she would have high attainments in Observation Haki once she awakened it.
Unlike the calm master and servant, the three Boa sisters were curious about Sky Island. Soon, their amazement grew as the Ship, wrapped in a mental shield, broke through the 7,000-meter White Sea and the 10,000-meter White Sea, arriving at Angel Island. The sight of the pure white sea and the beautiful island dotted with colours left them awestruck.
"It's so beautiful. Is this Sky Island?" The three Boa sisters marvelled at the sight.
"Let's go down and see how this island at 10,000 meters is different from the ones below," Kahn said. His telekinetic power automatically reefed the sails, dropped the anchor, and released the boat ladder. He then led Robin and the Boa sisters toward Angel Island.
After crossing the white sands of Angel Beach and Angel Avenue, they reached the bustling Lovely Street of Angel Island.
"Without wings, are you from Blue Sea?"
"Welcome to Angel Island, Blue Sea people! I hope you have fun here!"
"Come and see, blue sea people! We have Sky Island specialities you won't find in Blue Sea!"
Kahn and his group caused a sensation upon arriving on Lovely Street. The stall and shop owners greeted them warmly.
"Master, these Sky Island people are so enthusiastic," Robin observed.
"Master, why do they have wings on their backs? Are they all angels?" asked the three Boa sisters, still wary of strangers but increasingly dependent on Kahn.
"Don't worry, kindness is always better than malice," Kahn reassured them.
Just like he did with Robin, Kahn took advantage of his height, raised his hands, and gently patted the heads of Hancock and Mary on either side. "Their wings are real. These Sky Island people are like Fish-Men and Longarm Tribe, just another race of humans."
"I see," the three Boa sisters responded, slightly stunned. Feeling the warmth from Kahn's palm and the friendliness sensed through Observation Haki, Hancock's nervousness faded, and she began to curiously observe the people around them.
After a while, Kahn led Robin and the three Boa sisters into a speciality store, where the sisters finally understood why the Sky Island people were so enthusiastic. The currency on Sky Island is different from that of the Blue Sea. Here, they use extols, while in Blue Sea, they use Berries. One Berry is worth 10,000 extols, making them very valuable to the Sky Island people.
Sky Island shellfish are highly prized. In the speciality store, Kahn bought a lot of these shells. It was the first time the four women had seen shells with special functions, and they were fascinated. Kahn also bought five devices similar to Jet Skis. They are controlled with the help of dials. With his mind shield, Kahn wasn't afraid of seawater, and he could also protect Robin from it, allowing them both to ride the Jet Skies and enjoy the sea breeze.
After purchasing the Sky Island shells and jet skies, Kahn and his group didn't rush back to Angel Beach to try the jet skies. Instead, they continued exploring Lovely Street. After a while, Robin, who rarely made decisions on her own, suddenly took Kahn's arm and pointed to a store. Kahn noticed it was a bookstore. He smiled and gently touched Robin's head, giving his approval. Robin smiled slightly in return.
Leading the way, Robin brought Kahn and the Boa sisters to the bookstore and asked the owner if they had any books on history. Wherever there are people, there is history, and Robin was very interested in the history of Sky Island. After negotiating with the owner, Robin bought several history books about Sky Island, planning to read them back on the ship.
Next, Kahn and his group visited other stores, buying Sky Island-specific clothing, household tools, and more. Finally, Kahn led Robin and the Boa sisters into a nautical tool shop, where he found exactly what he was looking for—a waterway map of the West Sky Summit.
As we know, there are seven waterways from Reverse Mountain to the Sabaody Archipelago. However, there is actually an eighth waterway located in the sky, known as "the top of the Western sky." This waterway is home to several Sky Islands, including Angel Island and Birka Island.
