"You had better move on our way before I make you regret it," Arielle said.
"Is this how both of you are going to talk to your sister? She was asking where you had been. Now look, you have made her cry," Mr Adam said.
"She isn't our sister," both of them said coldly.
Mr Adams looked at them and frowned. He knows that they have always been cold but he couldn't allow them to destroy the Adams image.
"Both of you know that she is my adopted daughter and daughter to my wife. Can both of you stop!" he said angrily.
"Ooh, please. If you kept your dick in your pants and never cheated on my mother and later brought your mistress and bastard home, Mom wouldn't have gotten sick."
Angrily, he raised his hand to slap Arielle, but two hands held it.
"Old man, who do you think you are to raise your hand on my sister? If you dare lay a hand on her, I will slap you twice. Move," Aurora said coldly before pushing him aside, making him stagger.
People were shocked at how cold and arrogant she was towards her father. Many wondered why they were treating him like that, since they never did that no matter what while others looked at them with hatred after that.
Aurora looked at Luciana coldly before walking towards her making her step back in fear. Just in time, the sound of a spoon tapping a glass was heard, making everyone turn their attention to the stage.
Looking at the front, Aurora saw the gaze of the man looking at her but instead of turning her gaze, she looked him in the eye, making the man shocked at her behavior. He withdrew his gaze before coughing.
"Good evening to you all. I have been the president of Diaz company since my father passed it down to me. Now, I am old and I guess it is time for me to retire and travel around the world with my wife. Because of that, I want to pass this position to my eldest son, Gerald Powell." As soon as he said that, people started clapping as a young man walked to the stage.
Staring at the young man who walked at the front, Aurora was shocked. He seemed familiar but was more built. Their eyes met and the man smirked as he saw she was shocked and knew that she couldn't believe it.
Suddenly, a security guard walked to the stage and told them something that made the men cold. After Mr Powell nodded his head, the security guard walked away. Just when everyone expected the guard to walk away, he walked towards Aurora and the girls.
"Miss, may you please leave," he said, making people gasp and start to murmur.
"Seriously," Aurora snapped as she looked at Gerald, wondering what he was doing.
"Why should my sister leave?" Arielle asked coldly.
"We have been informed that both of you have no invitation cards, so please," he said.
[How shameless are they.]
[They came late and even used the front door, but they didn't have invitation cards?]
Listening to people cussing on Aurora and Arielle, Luciana was contented. 'So what if you are more beautiful than me? If both of you wanted to be in the limelight, then you shall be, but I will embarrass both of you today!' she promised inwardly.
"Even after five years, both of you are still the same. Trying to find others' attention by various means. Do you think that this party is for beggars like you?" Cindy sneered.
"Just shut that smelly mouth of yours. I wonder when was the last time to brushed your teeth," Faith said coldly.
"You," Cindy snapped. "Who are you to talk to the daughter of the Turner Family in that way? Don't forget your place."
"What's so great about the Turners? It might be richer than the Adams, but we, the Parkers, are richer than your so-called family. Don't dare brag about your family in front of me and it isn't even in the top four richest families. What rubbish. Anyway, I see that you can't afford skin care for your body. Take this cheque and use it. I am always generous to beggars and smelly dogs like you," Faith said calmly and sarcastically, making people laugh.
"You bitch..." Cindy roared but she was held by the security guards.
"Miss please leave. You are wasting the president's time," the man said coldly.
"Sir, please forgive my sisters, okay? I know that they don't have invitation cards but can you let them stay?" Luciana said innocently, gaining the approval of most people present and making some happy with her.
"We don't need a bastard's help," Aurora and Arielle sneered.
[Who do they think they are? Don't they know they will be kicked out if Miss Adams doesn't help them?]
"Sir, please don't be mad. Be patient with them, okay?" Luciana continued.
Aurora and Arielle felt the urge to vomit when they listened to her childish and pretentious voice.
"Sorry, but I have permission from the boss to take them away. This way please," the man said as he tried to drag them out.
"Is this the way to welcome me back home, huh?" Aurora asked as she looked at Gerald coldly. "Why did you invite me here if you were just going to humiliate us? Don't think this is over." She said as she started walking away. Luciana had a small smile as she looked at Aurora leaving.
"Wait Aurora, why should we leave when we have the invitation cards?" Arielle asked.
"What is the point of proving that when even the person who sent the invitations has permitted us to be sent away?" she asked sadly and in a low tone.
Just as she started walking again, she heard, "I never permitted you to be thrown away. I never thought he was implying you in the first place."
She turned around and looked at the man who spoke. His calm voice shocked everyone cause they had never heard him talking in such a manner.
"Then why did you not open your mouth to talk earlier?" she asked coldly.
