"Brother Liam, why are you pretending that you don't know us?" Arielle said with a pout as she held the sleeve of his shirt.
"Now you pretend that you don't know what you did wrong, huh? Or did you decide not to call me 'cause you are now an A- celebrity?"
"Ooh, please Mr. Director," she sneered as she sat down. "Auntie, uncle, I missed you. Aurora is so boring, at least now you can keep me company," she said as she pretended to be a spoiled brat.
"At least you aren't as cold as those two," Mrs Parker complained.
"Just pretend that they don't exist, Auntie. You will still have me by your side."
"You haven't changed even a bit," Mr Parker said after a few minutes.
"Uncle," she complained, as if she was offended.
"You have always been a spoiled brat. I even wonder how you are surviving in the entertainment industry," he said.
"When one is doing what she loves, she puts in effort. I am still working for our entertainment company, so, I can get off anytime I want."
"Still lazy as always. Aurora, I want her to act as the female lead in the film I will be shooting in two weeks. Let us see how she will still behave like a spoiled brat even after that," Liam said as he looked at Arielle seriously while the latter just stuck her tongue in mischief.
"I'm sorry, but she needs to rest for the time being. Even though she will be resting, she will be helping me out in one of the companies or the headquarters. Furthermore, we know that if she works under you, you will give her more privileges than I do. You are the one who doted on her the most since we were kids," Aurora said, making Liam glare at her while the others laughed at him.
"Sometimes I think you love her," Faith said in a low tone. Liam and Arielle slapped her softly after they heard what she said, but at the same time, Arielle's cheeks were as red as tomatoes.
Both Aurora and Faith saw her reaction and Liam's embarrassment and looked at each other with mischief.
"Guess we won't be bored anymore," Faith said, making Aurora nod her head in agreement, but at the same time, she was happy.
"Now that you have come back, what are you planning on doing? Will you go back to your dad's house or what?" Mr Parkers.
All eyes turned on Aurora even Arielle's as she always does what her sister tells her.
"How can I go back there? They refused to educate us. He chose to be at Lucian's side even after everything she did. I don't think we will go there just to suffer and, also when they find out that we own one of the largest companies, I am sure Dad will tell me to give him the shares or give Luciana, and I am not willing to do that," Aurora said, and they didn't say anything as they understood her.
"We need to snatch that company from them. I want Luciana to feel what I used to feel. Penniless or not favored. After all, Dad always favors those who bring profit to him," Arielle said with a wicked smile on her face.
Although what she said was not good and seemed evil, the Parkers family and Aurora looked at her with a doting smile as if they didn't see anything wrong.
"Excuse me," a voice startled them, and they looked at the intruder.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I need to speak with Aurora," Gerald said with a doting smile on her face, while Aurora just rolled her eyes before standing up.
As she walked towards the corridor, she was dragged to the dancing podium, making her glare at him.
"What are you thinking?" Aurora was brought back by the whisper in her ear. She stared at the man standing in front of her and didn't know where to start. "People are waiting for a dance wife," he whispered again, mischievously making her glare at him. Seeing her cute glare, he chuckled.
Everyone was shocked by his laugh, as they knew that he had never even smiled, but the lady could make him chuckle.
Smiling mischievously, she said loudly, "I am so tired. I don't think I can dance today."
Hearing that, he frowned as he looked at her. He later shifted his gaze and looked at Arielle. "Didn't both of you arrive in the city four hours ago? Why is she tired?" he asked her.
Chuckling, Arielle put on an innocent expression as she looked at him and talked. "You know that girls love beauty. You sent the invitation cards, and we couldn't disappoint you by not being stunned, hence..." She kept quiet.
"Both of you are just stupid. Did you think that coming to a party is like going to sleep?" he asked annoyedly.
"No but we thought we were coming here for a laugh," Arielle said with a sad expression.
He frowned then chuckled before looking back at Aurora. "Sorry I ruined your laugh and didn't see what you were expecting," he said, making her blush and she turned away her gaze.
"Don't dare. I am mad at you. I am hungry and tired," she said angrily and coldly. "Look for another partner to dance with you."
"Stupid. Didn't you even eat? I don't care if it isn't my fault that you didn't eat. We have to dance," he said immediately, and he dragged her to the dancing floor.
People were shocked as they had never seen him. Even his family was surprised, but they all kept quiet.
Rolling her eyes, she was being dragged. She was pretending to be coming.
"I know you know how to dance, I will do it for you at night," he said seductively.
"Fuck you," she said angrily, making him chuckle before answering, "I will at night. I miss you."
Listening to his shameless words, she couldn't refute them.
"Does your family know about us?" she asked as they danced.
"Yeah, I had to tell them when they were making trouble for your company," he said calmly.
Aurora looked at Arielle and gave her a helpless look, making the young lady chuckle. She gestured something back, making Aurora nod to agree. In the next second, she fell, but luckily Gerald was holding her waist. He was shocked and tensed as if it was his fault, tense even when he knew that she was tired and hungry.
"Fuck. Wake up, Aurora," he shouted at her, trying to wake her up. Seeing his helplessness and anxiety, Arielle held back her laugh. Faith, who was once anxious, heard the laugh and looked at her as if she were crazy. Knowing that there must be a reason as to why she wasn't anxious, she looked again at Aurora before walking towards Arielle.
"Why are you laughing when your sister has fainted?" she asked.
"She is good at acting like me. Now let's go and act," she said, then walked towards the dancing floor angrily.
"Let my sister go, she is like this because of me," she said angrily while slapping him hard.
Seeing this, the bodyguards ran to them and held her down.
"What are you doing? Let her go. If you hurt her, her sister will kill me when she wakes up and she is the person I fear the most in this life," Gerald snapped
Hearing that, both Arielle and Faith were stunned before going back to their act.
"Water," Faith shouted. "Someone bring water."
