Joe Walker ran and kept running, his heavy breaths from exhaustion sounding quite loud. But nobody could hear him except himself.
He kept running and running, hoping to soon see the faces of the two most precious people to him at the moment.
As he neared the bridge's gate, he heard loud laughter. He immediately looked towards the bridge where Alice and Maria were. And as he had suspected, Jonathan, Zenith, Rico, Alice, and Maria were gathered there, chatting with smiles on their faces.
Joe Walker, seeing the beautiful sight, unconsciously smiled and took a deep breath before murmuring to himself, "Thank goodness."
"Ah! There's Joe! Jooooeeee! What are you doing standing there silently? Come over and join us!" Maria exclaimed, noticing Joe Walker's presence.
"Alright! I'll be right there!" Joe Walker shouted back with a smile on his face.
