"Uggggh...." I slowly begin to open my eyes as the sun hits my face before I notice three small and cute animal looking things looking down at me, a pink cat thing, a cartoony looking sheep and a cartoony looking Chicken.
"Keee!"
"Bwkawk!"
"Baaaa!"
They all Squawked in shock of seeing me wake up before all of them rapidly running away from me as I rubbed my face as I looked around the area as I sat up to look at my surroundings.
I get up and look down at myself as I see myself wearing what appeared to be a ragged piece of cloth like Toga and ancient looking sandals, how I got these I have no clue.
"What.... Happened? I remember I was out on a cruise ship with my family, nothing to much really and after having fun out on the pool on the deck I went back to my room to play this new game Palworld I just got and then... I mutter to myself as I look at my reflection inside of the sea water as I look at my face to see if I have any wounds.
"I look okay.... But what happened to me?.... Did I get ship wrecked?" I say looking around but I don't see any debris of a ship anywhere.
"Wait.... Those animals.... Aren't those the animals actually Pals?" I say remembering those three pals that were looking at me when I woke up.
*Bwwwwm Bwwwwm*
I heard a faint humming nearby as I looked around to discover a tablet laying on the ground causing that sound as I went to grab it as I brushed off the dust and sand on the screen.
'Reach the World Tree, The Towers are the Key' it said before it faded away before a new screen popped up on it.
[Main Quest! Find a Way Home]
[Description: You have some how ended up on the mysterious Palpago's Islands and have no way to get home]
[Objective: Clear all 5 Towers by defeating thier Guardians and gaining their Towers Tokens before the Way to the World Tree is opened and Defeat the Final Challenge that awaits]
[Reward: Access to the Gate of Worlds]
[Note their are Many Side Missions that the Owner of this Tablet can take apart of that when completed will make it easier for you to complete your primary goal, side missions will become clear when you begin starting them on your own]
It said all of that before showing a map of the nearby surrounding area for me, then another tab showed a list of all the Pals that there were though all of them were unknown (Currently it only shows the original 111 pals but will increase when more pals become available in the game), another showed my name, Ezekiel 'Zeke' Sanders, along with my health, stamina, temperature of the area im in, an exp bar along with my current level, being only Level 1 to start off with, and even my hunger levels at lastly a tech tree that tells me how to build things.
"Just like in the game.... Problem is I only got all the way up to the plateu up their before I had to stop playing for the cruise.... Then when I went back to play I blacked out and now I'm actually inside the game.... And if I'm inside the game do I follow the game's mechanics or is this still real life and if I die I die for good?...." I mutter to myself as I think things over.
"I really do hope I'm playing it by the games rules and I can revive if I somehow die or else this place will be way more dangerous and I'd have to be extremely prepared before I fight all of the bosses of this world, but I'll cross that bridge when I reach it, first let's get up to the plateau." I say before getting myself together as I see the path nearby as I begin to walk up the ancient looking stairs towards the Plateau above.

"Wow... It's so beautiful to see in person...." I said in amazement as I looked out towards the rest of the Palpagos Islands areas from where I stood before I looked and saw a large bird statue just down the stairs of this part of the plateau, so after getting a view of it all I walked on down and approached the statue.
"I sure hope the fast travel system works, I mean I think this is what it is, I only played till here, luckily I watched a bit of game play from others so I at least know that much and a few other things." I say touching it before it changed the red hue around it to blue instead.

I heard my tablet ping and saw it said that before I looked at my tech tree to see what I had.
But being at only Level One what I had unlocked was limited but everything for Level 1 was unlocked, so until I Leveled Up this point will go unused for now.
*Sniff Sniff* I smelled the air I looked around as I smelled burning wood and not to far away I saw someone sitting at a fire cooking up some meat.
*Grumble* my stomach rumbled as I was feeling a little bit hungry as I headed on over at the person, but I was rather cautious to say anything as they were clearly holding a shotgun, a hand made one but nonetheless clearly a shotgun, in their hands.
"Hmmm? Oh would you look at this, another castaway as washed up here." They said before I realized it was a woman more specifically as she looked me up and down.
"Well I guess I should say Welcome to Palpago's Island stranger, but that's all I'm going to say really as I'm not obligated to help people out, though a word of advice, you wanna survive out here your going to hunt and tame pals, that or go stay in one of the view villages scattered around the place and live in somewhat safety." She goes onto say to me.
"Well Uhh.... Thanks I guess.... Though I hope I'm not asking to much but would you mind letting me have a weapon of some kind, not your gun of course, but like a club or something?" I ask as I scratch my head as I look at her.
She looks at me for a second before reaching to her side and tossing me something which I catch which looks like a old worn out club, "Made this when I was younger, haven't had a need for it, so take it, use it to protect yourself from the ravenous pals of the island, then again most of the pals around here are rather weak and aren't dangerous and besides the 'King of the Plateau' a club or maybe even a bow will be enough for dealing with them." She says to me before grabbing a stick that looked like it had some grilled chicken meat on it before she began to eat it.
But I had a feeling she was done talking so I took my new club and went down the hill..
Now all I got to do is level up, scrounge up some food and finally catch me some Pals as this is only the start of my journey in this new world.

So after going down the hill I saw the three types of pals that I saw before, them being Lambball's, Cattiva's and Chikipi's.
And since I wasn't planning to eat a cat only the Lambball's and Chikipi's looked tasty to me.
"Baaaaa!"
"Bacawk!"
They Shrieked out in fear as they tried to run away, but with their stubby legs I could easily catch up to them, "Sorry but your food!"
*BANG! BANG! BANG!*
I slammed my club into them repeatedly until they died, but unlike the game where they drop the resources while their body stays their, instead their bodies disappear before leaving their important parts, that being lamb chops, wool, Chikipi's meat and even a few eggs.
"Well at least I don't need to learn to gut them or anything." I mutter as I grab them before I watch them disappear into my tablet, I then double check it and see a tab in my status menu light up and show my total inventory space which was a 5 x 10 rectangle with 50 individual spaces in total, 4 were taken up with the food and wool while there were slots for my body so I can wear armor, what I got is 'Ragged armor' that's on my body, barely any protection and it isn't useful if I'm in cold or hot environments.

After killing a few more a felt a surge of energy fill my body as I went and looked at my stats to see that I leveled up.
"Good it's time I get some more technologies unlocked." And luckily I just had enough points to unlock everything on the second level of the Tech tree, so the Palbox, Basic Pal spheres, wooden chest, campfire and repair bench became available to create.
"Good thing whatever transported me here gave me a hammer to build all this stuff, now I just got to gather some supplies." And luckily the basic needed supplies were scattered all around so I didn't need to beat things with my club to get rocks or wood and fiber so after a bit of searching I had what I needed after going further down the hill and finding a small fresh water pond which seemed the perfect place to set up as my home base for the time being.
So after getting a few shiny blue rocks called paldium fragments, some more rocks and wood I created my first Palbox.

I heard a ringing from my tablet again as I pulled it out to see the objectives tab showing me a new side quest I just unlocked.
[Side Quest: Manifest Destiny]
[Objectives: Do all the side missions related to upgrading your base from level 1 all the way up to level 20]
[Rewards: Each Level allows you to keep one pal out at each of your base(s) to work the place and every 5,10,15,20 levels unlock the ability to create your second, third, fourth and fifth extra bases as well]
"Oh that's pretty neat, let's see what I need to do for all these level ups." I mutter before looking at all of the objectives.

"So this is a pretty long quest it seems, can't even complete everything unless I reach the level 40-ish area to make everything possible by that time." I say as the last thing being the Electric Furnance was unlocked in the level 40's area.
"But more importantly is to level up enough for me to build myself a simple wooden house with a bed so I can sleep for the night, but since it's still morning I got time." I say before I begin to build a few necessary early thing like a repair bench, a primitive workbench and a camp fire as I let it grill the meats I have while I went and made myself a stone axe and pickaxe.
After making those I cut down a few trees and mined some boulders for the four essential building materials for everything one needs that being Wood, Fiber, Stone and Paldium Fragments.
"Now that I got the materials let's make some Pal Spheres!" I say all excited like as I pulled up the instructions to help created it for myself.
And after a few minutes of trial and error I finally had it as I held up the blue Pal Sphere to the sun.

I hear another chime as I see another side quest pop up.
[Side Quest: You got a (Pal) in Me!]
[Objective: capture every type of Pal that exists here on Palpagos Island as well as capture/hatch 10 of the same types of all Pals as well]
[Reward: Every 20 fully learned Pals will give you access to the weakness of each Tower boss and which Pals and weapons are best used to beat them, starting from the weakest boss all the way to the strongest]
"Huh, that is very useful info to have, and it means my exp will go up even higher as I catch pals too, so I'll be high enough level to get me my own bed, even if it's a rather crappy one to begin with." I say as I toss my pal sphere up and down before I go and make 9 more leaving me with 10 of these things to use.
"Alright, time to catch me my first pal." I say club in hand and pal sphere in the other.
And I already know what mischievous little cat I have within my sights.

Now normally in most monster catcher games like this their is no visible difference between a male and female pal of the same species as most are at least kinda family friendly games so they can't show that off, but being here in person that's all off the table.
If it's a dude you can see a pouch between thier legs signaling their a dude, but if it's a female not only do they not have that but the area around their chests for some bulge out slightly signaling their breasts.
Now the first two pals and easiest ones to get are going to be Lambball's and Cativa's as they are actually good in a fight, though there are probably more that I can get but most likely only come out at night and since it's day time only those two in my nearby area are worth getting and later down the line when I can build the ranch I'll go and get Chikipi's so I can farm their eggs they lay, which turns out even males can lay eggs as well, this world is weird like that I guess or maybe it's game logic so the players don't just kill all the males and only capture the females for their ranches.
But first is the Cativa's so I go on the opposite side of the pond where I see a bunch of pals wandering around over there being of the three I have been mentioning and I saw one Cativa that was taking a cat nap, the perfect target to catch for me.
So I snuck up behind it as the others, seeing me began to run away and as I came up behind it I had a 50% capture chance with the back bonus capture rate on top.
'Well, here goes something!" I think to myself as I click the activator on the Pal Sphere before throwing it right into the back of the sleeping Cativa.
"Nyaaa?!" It shrieked out before it was suddenly turned into blue particles and being pulled into the Pal Sphere as it floated into the air as it showed the 50% capture rate still.
"C'mon! Lady Luck be on my side!" I shouted out as I watched it closely.
*Shake it shook again before the chance of capture went up to 75% which made me excited as I gripped my club hard.
The tension was palpable as sweat trickled down my brow as it just sat there and didn't shake, and when I all but believed the Cativa was about to escape.
*Shake*
it shook a second time and the capture rate went up to 100% before it vanished and reappeared on my hip in its small form.
"Yes! I got my first pal! WOOHOOO!" I shout out as I jump for joy as I got my first real pal and I was happy for being able to do it.

I heard a familiar ring tone as I pulled out my pal tablet and look at the pal index as the entry on Cativa's filled out, the Lambball's and Chikipi's were there too but it didn't say anything as I have seen them but since I haven't caught them my pal index hasn't updated on them at all.
I also noticed half of my exp bar filled up doing that, it seems capturing pals is the fastest way to level up, though I think it only give exp up until I catch 10 of each kind, but that means this upper area is the best place for farming exp until I have caught every type I can get around here I'll move on deeper into the island.
Not only that but it even showed me what Cativa could do as it have Ivl. 1 in Mining, Food Gathering, Handiwork and Transportation.
The Cativa also had the ability called Cat Helper as it can help carry some of the weight in my inventory for me which helps a lot, and since this is a game I can also upgrade my stats when I level up such as my health, attack, how much I can carry and how fast I can build things.
There was also a defense stat but when I leveled up it didn't give me an option to increase it which in hindsight makes sense as that's my bodies natural protection after all so only my clothes and armor will increase my defense, I'm not going to suddenly get iron like skin as that's impossible for a normal human to acquire.
But besides that I looked at my Cativa's stats, it was a female Ivl. 1 Cativa with Zen Mind (10% + to Normal Attack DMG) as her passive trait.
"Alright we'll come on out Cativa!" I said before tossing my Pal Sphere as Cativa came out.
She looked around after coming out before looking at me and squinting her eyes at me before crossing her arms and puffing out her cheeks, clearly she was irritated with being caught and made into my pal.
"Look Cativa, I'm sorry I did that to you but I just arrived on this island, and I need pals like you to help me make it here on this island okay?" I say as I reach out my hand as I begin to pet her head, she still seemed irritated but she wasn't pushing away my hand at least.
"Here, want some cooked Chikipi meat? Take it as a sign of me being sorry for catching you like that okay?" I say holding out the cooked chikipi meat.
*Sniff Sniff* she smelled the meat as she opened her eyes before grabbing it and beginning to eat, though seeming to look irritated all the same but was gradually not as angry before she ate it all up.
"There, now let's get along from now on alright?" I say holding out my hand to her as she finished licking her hands of the meat grease as she looked at me.
She nodded before taking my hand and shaking it, now I finally got my first pal, "And Since your my first Pal I'll give you a name, Cativa from now on you'll be called Kate." I said as I decided to name my first pal here in this strange new world.

After catching Kate I went around with her help beating up other Cativa's and then capturing them, soon enough by mid-day I had leveled up a couple of times and ended up at Level 5 while completing the Cativa pal index by the time I was done.
I wasn't planning on naming every Pal I get as I only planned to keep my first Pal's I capture in the long run as I heard before playing the game their were mechants where you can buy and sell pals too so that's what will happen to the future extra pals down the line.
There's obviously a currency system to this world so buying new things is a must but I need to catch a large bird pal so I can begin to fly around the Island to find more fast travel points and those towers that I must conquer as well.
"But that can wait until later, first things first, time to build this base up." I say before I get to work on doing the missions for the base.
So I put a Cativa from my extras in my Palbox out to work here in the base and selected to build up a wooden chest to store our things.
After designating the area for it to be built me and the Cativa worked together to build it up, and soon enough we did and the Base leveled up so I summoned a second one to help us out.
Then since I made the primitive workbench already I had one help me build a small shack while I had the other go and turn the wool I had gathered to turn into cloth.
Luckily building foundations, walls & ceilings are near instant to craft do to how this world was set to be like, so what would have taken hours in my world was only a few minutes.
So after that was done I made several pal mats for the pals to sleep on before I went and checked on the other Cativa who was holding a large pile of cloth in his hands.
"Good job guys, you guys take a break and grab some of the cooked food at the campfire while I build my bed." I say as they seemed happy to hear that so they went over their to begin eating the cooked meats while I used the resources we got along with the newly made cloth to build myself a bed, and after a few minutes I had myself my own bed, a shitty bed but a bed nonetheless.
So the base leveled up again so I summed up another Cativa to help out as well before I went to build a feed box which didn't even take a second and since I had already made the campfire and the straw pal beds the base leveled up again to 4 so we now had 4 Cativa's helping out around the base.
"Go gather up all the berries from the berry bushes around here and put them in the feed box, any seeds you get put them in chest here." I tell them what they need to do.
"Nyaa Nya!" (x4) they saluted me before they went off to work in doing that, in the meantime I used up the rest of the spare cloth to build myself some actual clothes instead of these ragged clothes I got now.
"Well it's better than nothing." I say putting these clothes on along with thick cloth shoes that fit like a glove.
"Hmmm, I need to build a berry plantation, problem is that Cativa's aren't good with dealing with the fields, so I need a plant pal, and a water pal so they can just keep farming the plantation while I'm away while keeping everyone well fed even if I'm not around." I say to myself as I go on over to my work bench and go to create some more Pal Spheres to catch some more pals, but at this point the sun was beginning to set and the Cativa's were starting to get sleepy as they weren't nocturnal.
So after getting everything they needed to eat, which were the some of the berries we had collected in the feed box, they soon all went to bed for the night.
And while the first day in this new world was over, the night was still long as I knew some nocturnal Pals would be out and about so it was best I go catch them as well.
Problem was the only Pals I had on me were the Cativa's and all were sleepy so all I could do was catch these pals on my own.
Luckily after hitting level three I was able to build myself a basic bow along with arrows so now I could attack from long range while I hit to capture new pals.
"Probably should hunt down more Lambball's for their meat and wool so I can build myself a glider so I can safely drop down from high heights." I had unlocked the glider schematics but now I didn't have the cloth to make it for now.
Though if I built a ranch it would be much easier to just farm it than going out and hunting Lambball's, but I'll build a ranch when I get the time too but after the berry plantation is built and automated before I do that.
So with a bow in hand and arrows on my back I headed out with several more pal spheres in hand as I searched for my next pal to take.
I saw plenty of pals sleeping such as Cativa's Lambball's and Chikipi's, but soon I noticed a new pal floating around the sleeping pals as an energy came off of them and into the pal in question.
I pulled out my Paldex and saw a new pal become visible, this one being known as a Daedream, and from what I can see it's a pal that feeds off dreams if that energy means anything.

But then it turned, more accurately she turned and looked in my direction as she spotted me, we stared at each other for a bit before she floated on over to me as she seemed curious about me.
Her stardust like hair went over my face, it smelled nice, but now I was getting sleepy, but I shook it off, probably because I was a higher level than her and it wasn't as effective as she was sitting around lvl 3 while I was lvl 5
"Hey Daedream, do you wanna be my pal?" I decided to ask nicely since I know some pals you don't have to beat to catch as some are also willing to become pals as well.
She seemed confused about what I said, but then she saw the sphere in my hand she knew what I meant.
She at first seemed apprehensive, but then pondered about it, then looking at me as she looked me up and down.
"Mau myy Mau" she said as she pointed at me.
I was confused by what she meant as I didn't understand her speech, but I think I knew what she was trying to say.
"I promise I won't abuse you, use you just like any other tool or go out and sell you off to a Pal Trader, I promise, and on top of that I'll name you as a promise to keep you from now on." I say to her as she crosses her arms under her breasts and puffs out her cheeks giving the 'Hmph!' Look.
But she opened one of her eyes to look back at me, "Mau Mau?"
"I promise, if I break this promise let me be stroked down by one of the legendary Pals of these Islands." I say holding up my hand in solemn promise.
She nodded her head before coming over and touching the Pal Sphere before she turned into blue mites of light as the pal sphere caught her and with a 100% catch rate I caught my very first Daedream.
"From now on I'll call you Daisy, now Cmon, let's go get us some more friends." I say with a smile on my face as the hunt for more pals continues.

"Good job Leafmunk! Keep those berry fields planted! Same for you Pengulet, Teafant, good on you guys keeping everything nice and watered!" I said before petting those three pals who seemed reinvigorated to keep doing what their doing.
"Chichi!"
"PenPen!"
"Bwoom!"
"Hey Daisy! Stop putting Hoocrates to sleep! We need him to help with gathering the berries!" I shoo Daisy away from Hoocrates, who was deep asleep, but she just snickered at me before going off to wander around some more.
"... Hooo?" Hoocrates mumbled before he started to get up from his sleep, though he is nocturnal so he would sleep during the day but here at base he, along with the other nocturnal Pals, don't need sleep as much.
"Sorry about that Hoocrates, Daisy decided to play a prank on you is all." I said patting his hair shaped hat.
"Hoo! Hoo!" He started to shake his wing like a Cantankerous old man as he looked at Daisy who only snickered at him before doing her own things.
"Nyaa! Nya!" I heard cat noises as I turned to see Kate and her Cativa pals had finished with the construction of the small ranch.
"Nice job guys! Now we can have a Lambball and a Chikipi stay in here and help us get more wool and eggs for us to make meals out of." I said kneeling down and petting them for the job well done.
In these few days I've gone up from level 5 up to level 9 and my pals that I have on my team have leveled up with me.
The five in my group of Pals are:

Daisy (Daedream) Ivl. 8
Lamby(Lambball) Ivl. 7
Nellie (Nitewing) Ivl. 9
Neeko(Cawgnito) Ivl.7
And something I learned is that certain pals have more 'human' like proportions than others though only female pals specfically.
*Flashback*
The day after catching Daisy and a few other Pals.
"Huh, an old church, though it looks run down." I mutter as I come across the ruins of a church nearby the entrance towards the main section of the Island.
"Oh? There's another person." I say as I hadn't seen anyone since I saw that woman near the plateau of beginnings, though I know she still hasn't left as I see smoke up there so she must have a camp nearby there.
But this was the first man I had seen coming to this island, he was currently poking at the fire in front of him while he petted his pal Foxparks.
"Hmmm? Oh a new arrival I see? Must have washed up on the shore not long ago from the looks of it." He says sizing me up.
"What gave it away?" I ask before sitting at his fire.
"Well your only wearing rather basic clothes, better than rags but not by much, if you were wearing Pelt armor I'd say you'd been around for awhile then." The guy says as he flips a log over in his fire pit.
"Fair enough, but why are you out here far from the other settlements?" But he chuckled when I said that.
"I just perfer to be out in the wilderness is all, and besides I get to see new thing everyday, like us meeting is a new experience for me, and not only that but you having a Anthromorphic Daedream by your side." He says pointing to Daisy who was just floating around in the air.
"Well I knew she seemed a bit different than the others of her kind, but what makes her special or any other anthro for that matter?" I decide to ask since this guy has the answers.
"It's simple really, your Daedream had a Lovander mother and a Daedream father to be born looking more human like in nature, it's more common for people to breed pals like that so they could have their very own anthro pal for themselves, it's hard to find a good woman on this island so most of us guys have gone out to find love in other forms while not wanting to be drained dry by the ever lustful Lovanders." He goes onto explain which was a bit weird but I guess it made sense in a way.
I mean it gets lonely on this island but the easiest way for companionship was having pals and if you could have a pal who could also be your partner in a sexual sense to help you and them relieve eachother from stress is a good thing when you think about it.
"So any pal can end up like that?" I question him but he shakes his head.
"The more normal pals that's possible but the legendary pals found in the most dangerous regions of this island are highly unlikely to have anthro forms, but I haven't seen any of those legendary pals so I can't say for certain if that's true or not." He explains to me.
"But be careful as on the other side of this exit to the main island is syndicate territory, and those assholes won't hesitate to shoot you on sight if they see you or any pal that gets anywhere nearby them." He explains to me.
"The syndicate are basically these islands main bad guys, a bunch of criminals with guns who shoot first and loot you after and then selling what pals you have on you for money to use on the Blackmarket.
There are other groups but the Syndicate is the most widespread and most dangerous group on the islands, luckily the ones found near the center are the rookies so they aren't as strong as the ones found on the outer islands or the smaller islands of beginnings spread out around here and there."
"But best be careful of your base, there's a chance of wandering pack of wild pals might attack your base while your away, so you should build some wooden walls around your base before you go out for long periods of time, though I have heard their are locations that are hard for people and pals to reach so if you ever set up a base in those places they would be the safest locations in all of the Palpagos islands." He decided to tell me which made me intrigued.
"Thanks for the info, though I got to ask, do you know how I could get ancient parts to make an egg incubator?" I decide to ask him before I begin to make my way back towards my base.
"Of that's easy, just beat any of those huge pals you see out in the wild, those guys we call boss pals carry some ancient parts on them, it's what makes them big after all, or if you ever see large sparkly pals, we call those lucky pals then they drop them if you beat them or catch them, and the last and easiest place to get some is dungeon diving in the various caves around the island, they have pals you don't see as easily in them and much easier to beat boss pals can be fought and either beaten or tamed to get you some ancient parts as well." He went into explain to me.
"Well thanks for the info! I'll see you around man!" I say before I begin to head off back to base.
".... Hey Daisy?"
"Hmmm?"

"Dae dae dae!" She said while nodding as she laughed in her language as my eye twitched a little.
"Whatever, at least I know what to do when I'm ready." I say before we head back to home proper.

"Good, looks like we're all ready! You girls ready?" I say as I stop at the entrance of the First Dungeon we had discovered after a couple of days searching around.

The five said all excited like as I smiled before turning towards the entrance.
"Well let's begin This Dungeon Dive!" I said as we began to delve into the darkness below with only a torch to light our way.

After a bit of walking we finally all made it down to the end of the cave as bioluminescent mushrooms lit the way for us letting me put away my torch.
"Alright, you girls come back, Daisy stay by me while Neeko takes the lead." I say before pulling Kate, Lamby and Nellie back into their spheres as the three of us kept moving forward.
I was able to let Daisy stay out as I had made her a necklace specifically for her kind that allows them to fly alongside me without making it impossible for me to call out another Pal at the same time.
Both of them were best suited for dungeons like this as dark type pals are stronger in dark places like this with no real sunlight.
So we came out of the tunnel we were in as we entered an atrium like area filled with luminescent mushrooms on the walls as some light came in through a crack in the ceiling giving more light to this place.
"Wait.... Has the syndicate already been here?" I say as I could see torches around the place leading towards other halls in this cave like dungeon.
"Hmm, let's be careful girls, those guys could be anywhere in this dungeon if they are here still." I tell them which they nod as we go deeper inside.
The first room didn't have anything of to much note, but I saw a sulfer deposit here, and I know that's a main ingredient in making gunpowder when I start to make actual guns and bullets down the line.
So I decided to mine it and take some for myself, luckily this world still follows game logic and that ore deposits and other rock formations respawn over time, I've been doing that to the one iron ore rock inside my base that I've been stockpiling the ore for.
So after mining the large sulfer ore completely and seeing nothing else here we went into the next room which was much larger, but at the same time we could hear the sound of a fight happening inside, so with my bow at the ready we headed in.
"Take them down!" One of the three syndicate members said as he pulled out his rather shoddy ass gun as he took pot shots at the pals in the room while his two companions rushed to attack with their spiked baseball bats.
The pals that were in the room were a few Fuddlers and some Leezpunks that were fighting the Syndicate Members, and while it was three of them vs six pals, these were weaker pals and not only that but one had a gun even if it was a makeshift shoddy pistol.
"Damn, at this rat those pals will get killed." I muttered as I pulled my bow back and took aim at them member with a gun.
'Just don't think about it too much Zeke, you need to survive on this island for who knows how long, and these guys won't hesitate to kill you if you have them the chance, just imagine Hitler and his Nazi's, remember all the horrible shit they did that you heard from great-grandpa's stories when you were a kid before he passed and everything you read in history books and the World War 2 movies all based on true stories! They are just as bad as them so take a deep breath and focus!' I hype myself up in my head and nock the arrow back.
And luckily with several days of training under my belt my aim, while not perfect, at this distance unless he moves rapidly I'll hit my mark.

"Ugh!" The syndicate member with the gun groaned out as he looked to his left to see an arrow deep in his left shoulder before seeing me and my pals who began to rush the other two.
They heard their buddy groan out so they were able to turn and look and see what was happening but it was too late as several dark arrows came out from Daisy while Neeko came up from behind before giving him a Phantom Peck to the neck as they killed them both in an instant.
I on the other hand shot off another arrow towards the lone gunman which also struck true as it to hit him in the throat as he grabbed at his throat before he looked at me, tried to raise the gun in his hand, only for it to slip and fall from his hand as he collapsed to the ground below as his and the other members blood seeped into the dirt and rocks beneath them.
"Haaa haaa haaa." I took some deep breaths as I steadied myself, I was trembling, I didn't feel good, but I knew I wasn't going to throw up or something but I plopped down on the floor as I caught my breath.
"DaeDae?" Daisy said as she came over to me as Neeko joined up with us after cleaning off her beak of blood.
Unlike with pals that fade away if they are defeated (killed) humans don't do that, but I couldn't still be certain if I was killed I wouldn't be able to respawn, but I'll do everything in my power to keep that from happening for the time being.
So looking around most of the pals they had fought had disappeared as a result of their injuries from fighting the Syndicate members, but knowing that I got to do whatever I could to survive I went to their bodies to check and see what they had on them.

"Wait.... This girl is still alive...." I say walking over to the injured Leezpunk that was laying on the ground barely concious.
I felt kinda bad just leaving her here, but as one of those guys had some low grade medical paste on hand I decided to use it to patch up her cuts and wounds along with some spare cloth I have for makeshift bandages.
.Leez....." I heard her say as she opened her eyes slightly to look up at me.
"Everything will be alright, those bad guys are gone now, I'm just trying to patch you up is all." Say trying to calm her down while I finished putting the bandages on her legs.
"....Leez....Leez?" She said looking around but noticed her friends or maybe even family were nowhere to be seen.
I'm sorry but.... Their gone." I say holding out two copper keys, keys that Leezpunks love to keep on their person all the time.
She reached out and gently grabbed them before tears began to fall from her eyes, "LeezLeezLeez!" She began to sob as all I could do was sit there and rub her head as she buried her face into my chest as she cried some more.
This world is a cruel place, and while I might not have thought of it till now but I have killed plenty of Pals without batting an eye.
But to survive I'll have to kill some that want to kill me, kill or be killed, survival of the fittest and the Law of the Jungle all holds true in this new world.
But I'll at least try to capture any and all pals from now on so l don't feel this sense of guilt ever again.
"Leezpunk.... I'm sorry for what happened to you and your family, but I don't feel good just leaving you like this." I say pulling back as Daisy and Neeko nod.

I didn't understand what they were saying but I think they were trying to convince Leezpunk that I'm not a bad guy at all.
Though Daisy went up to her and talked quietly in her own language to the Leezpunk who's eyes went wide hearing whatever Daisy just said as she turned towards her only to get a snicker in response from her as the Leezpunk looked at me up and down for a second before nodding.
"Leezpunk!" She said with a nod which got the others to cheer which made me assume it was a sucess as I rubbed her head and smiled.
"Then welcome to your new family Lee." I say holding out a Palsphere which she looked at for a second before touching it and turning into more of blue light as she was sucked in before the capture was complete.

After sending Lee back to my Palbox we continued to make our way deeper into the dungeon.
But in the room we were in split in 4 directions if we exclude the path we came from, "Hmm, how about we turn off one of the torches near the entrances after we fully explore them?" I say which get a nod from the two of them which Neeko went to the path we came from and used her wing to blow out one of the torches.
"Let's go check them out in a clockwise like fashion, this way." I ushered them as we headed to the next tunnel as we headed down it.
But this was a dead end right from the start but it had an unopened chest sitting in the center, now normally in any other game with dungeons in them I'd be suspicious of a chest just sitting here like this.
But from what I remembered, their is no Mimic Pal(As of writing this) in Palworld so we just went up to it normally.
"Huh, it's not locked." I mutter as I just see a simple turn lock holding the latch in place, so I quickly turned it and opened it up.
*Fssss*
The chest soon disappeared as a bag full of gold hit the floor, three wrapped loaves of bread and two Mega Spheres as well.
"Huh, this is pretty good, here you girls can have these." I say handing Daisy and Neeko the bread loaves, the kind that look like baguettes, which they seemed to enjoy, especially Neeko as I ate mine as well before putting the spheres and around 270 gold coins away leaving me with 570 gold coins now.
"These will be useful." I say looking at these new Mega Spheres as they are needed for pals between Ivls 10 through 20 which I need to start making myself if I want to catch stronger ones after all.
The normal blue ones will still be useful around base but that's it, I have also found pal spheres scattered around here and there, most likely they were dropped while trying to catch a pal or maybe running away or something though mostly blue but if I go deeper into the island I believe spheres of this quality or higher will appear.
So we headed back to the area we were in before as Neeko put out the torch for this path before we went on over to the next path, though not far in we had to stop.
"Hmmm, guess we will have to climb down if we want to go any further, or maybe we should ask Nellie for help." I say before pulling Neeko back into her sphere and calling out Nelly instead.
"Okay girl, help us get down from here." I say as I grab onto her harness as I hop onto her back.
"Krrrrriiii!!!" She screeches out before lifting us off the ground before gently gliding us down towards the bottom.
"Thanks Nellie." I say petting her head as I get off her back as Daisy floats down to me as we look at the area ahead of us.
"Getting a bit of a repeat from earlier." I say as it's just another room with a chest in it as we go on over.
"Oh? This one has a brown lock on it though.... Hmmm, maybe a copper key unlocks this brown lock?" I say getting one of the keys we had gotten earlier, after Lee gave them back to me of course, before I used it to open it up.
"It worked!.... But damn seems the lock broke it when unlocking it." I say as only half the key come out from the lock before it breaks along with the lock before I pushed the lid open.

It faded and it was a bit different than before, besides the gold and even more Mega Spheres a sheet of paper fell on out as I went and picked it up.
"Oh! It's a blueprint for a crossbow! Man this skips the whole need for me to learn it myself!.... Although it's a bit more expensive to make this improved crossbow." I say looking it over and seeing the various required materials to build it up.
"But this is good for now, c'mon Nellie! Let's head back on up!" I say before jumping onto her back before she took off back to the entrance as Daisy followed behind us.
When we got back to the room I kicked over one of the torches before we went to the next tunnel.
"Hmmm.... It forks with one way full of water.... Let's go through this one later." I mutter before we headed back without breaking the torches.
".... That's just nasty...." I mutter as I see a new group of Cawgnito's appeared who were now eating the dead bodies of the syndicate members, so I didn't think about that as I went to the last area we had to go to.
"Oh well this is a bit different." It was another open room but their was no other exits besides the tunnel we came from.
"Oooo! That's a lot of Paldium!" I say seeing large ore deposits sitting down here, larger than the small ones you can only find on the surface that I see around near my base.
Daisy and Neeko laughed in their own special way as they saw me acting all excited for just some large rocks, but soon I pulled out my pickaxe and got to mining Paldium Fragments.
After all you need loads of these if you want to make any of the better palspheres, so this was the equivalent of a gold mine for me.
"Fud Fud!" I heard the cry out before a new group of three fuddlers popped up in front of me.
"Fud Fud!"

They were shouting out while shaking their long clawed hands at me as they blocked my way to the other Paldium deposits.
"Oh? You saying these are yours so keep your grubby paws off?" I say as I can guess what they were at least trying to say.
"FudFud!" They all say together while nodding, but that seemed to make Daisy and Neeko mad.

With that said an all out fight broke out as the Fuddlers fought back, I don't know what they said but it felt like they were making fun of us and possibly saying all sorts of profanities our way, so I pulled out my new spiked baseball bat as I joined Daisy and Neeko in teaching these three a lesson.

"Fuuuuuuudddd...." It didn't take that long really, it was more my baseball bat putting in the work and leaving them nearly dead.
"I'm going to enjoy putting you little assholes to work at my future mine base." I mutter before throwing out three palspheres before sucess fully capturing them all.
"Just a little bit more until I level up it looks like, c'mon, let's gather all the Paldium fragments before going on back.
I knocked over the torch saying we finished going through there as I looked around and noticed none of the bodies were there anymore and that the Cawgnitos were all sleeping off to the side of the cave.
I look at them before looking at Neeko as I petted her head, "Please don't go eating people like your brethren okay?"
"Caw!" She said with a nod as she enjoyed me petting her head
before I stopped and did the same for Daisy who looked a bit grumpy I didn't do it for her either.
"Alright girls, let's finish exploring this dungeon, the boss ahead awaits!" I said as I got a cheer out of them before we entered the final tunnel to the end of the dungeon.

"Hmmm, well let's take the normal path first, we can go down the other path later, I don't really want to get wet right now." I say looking towards the path on our left as it was the only dry path we could go across so we decided to go that way.
So we took the path and went down a long winding tunnel before coming into a big cave area once more.
I couldn't see any other exits so this was a dead end and besides some ores nothing real-

I heard the hisses and shouts of two different pals on the other side of a large boulder that was dead center so we went up to it and took a look around to see what was happening.
"What pal's are they?" I mutter as I pull out the paldex to get a bit of info on them both.
Katress The Witching Pal: With the power of shadows it produces arcane phenomena. It prefers to eat food raw and is particularly hostile towards Wixen.
Felbat The Vampire Pal: Attacking from the shadows, this Pal traps its prey within its cloak-like wings. It's probably best not to know what happens within them, or why the inside of its wings are stained red.
"Ugh.... We'll what are they fighting over anyway?" I mutter as I look a bit closer to see what was going on.
It appeared Katress had gotten some mushrooms, possibly medicinal one or something from the looks of it and Felbat isn't happy she has those, maybe they were his/hers and they want it back but Katress won't give it back.
"FELBAT!" They shouted out before launching dark arrows at Katress who summoned dark arrows of her own to intercept their attack.
"FEEEELLLLL!!!" They shouted out before flying up as they crossed their sharp pointy legs as they began to dive bomb to her.
"Look out!" I shout out as I grab her before pulling her out of the way just in time to dodge Felbat's Divebomb attack.

They were both surprised to see a human show up, and Katress even more so that a human would come and help her, a wild pal, out like that.
"Sorry, I couldn't just sit by and see you get skewered by an attack like that." I say with a smile-

So after thinking about it for a bit she decided she could get more later, so she crushed the mushrooms, letting the medicinal liquid that was inside pour onto his wounds.
"Guh!" I felt a burning sensation on my back as I looked over to see Katress using her mushroom's on my wound covering them in a liquid that was most likely an antibacterial solution that could keep the wound nice and clean.
I slowly reached into my inventory before pulling out some spare cloth before giving it to her.
"Triss!" She nodded before putting the cloth like gauze over my back as it observed the rest of the blood as I lay their and just rested for the time being.
F-fel...." Felbat muttered before they faded away as they were defeated by the combined effort of Daisy and Neeko as it dropped some cloth and a small clear crystal with a blue thing floating in the middle of it.

Daisy and Neeko cried out after grabbing the stuff Felbat dropped as they saw my bad condition I was in.

"How about I call you Triss? Neeko you look like you need some rest, I'm going to send you back to the Palbox alright?" I said as I petted her head.
"Caaaaw...." She seemed sad but she understood, so I pulled her back into her sphere before sending her to the Palbox to rest while I let Triss back out and accompany us for the rest of this dungeon dive.
"Let's head on out." I said as I pull myself up to stand before we began to make our way out of this room.
Soon enough we made it to the fork again where I called out Nellie to get over the small pond that was in our way so I wouldn't get wet.
After that we went through a room that seemed to just be an inbetween for the next one which seemed to be the ruins of some underground tunnel system humans made.
But as nothing was here we just moved through before coming to a huge open room with a naturally formed rock bridge that lead to a center area with a dead tree.
Under said tree was a large sleeping Foxparks in the center with two other Foxparks sleeping right next to it.
The big sleeping one was at least four times bigger than it's normal counterparts, I would say it's size was inbetween a donkey and a horse in height and length.
"Well there asleep, so let's capture the small ones." I say as we go over to them quietly as Daisy floats over them as she twirls around putting them into an even deeper sleep as a result.
So pulling out two basic Pal Spheres I throw them at the normal Foxparks backs which I found out gives a better chance at capturing a pal by two times and by four time if you do that while their deep asleep.
And I easily caught them both which brought a smile to my face, then using one of my Mega Spheres I did the same to the big girl and began to capture her.
"Please work!" I cross my fingers, if I wasn't hurt right now I would be all for battling it out but right now I just want to go home and rest, and with Triss she could whip up some more medicine to heal my wound faster as well.

It shook meaning she woke up and is fighting back so I crossed my fingers tighter as I prayed to whatever gods that overlooked this island to let me just capture her.

"I'm sorry for doing that, but if I could help it I wouldn't have hurt you and so I did what I did, but hey if you think about it, now you can leave this dark and gloomy dungeon and go and see the surface like any Pal should be able to do." I said trying to convince her as she puffed up her cheeks mad at me.
"Dae!Dae!" Daisy said pushing her off me as I grabbed at my back in pain as I felt the wound open back up because of her pushing me down.
"....Sparks?" She said surprised to see me injured even though she didn't try to hurt me.
"No it's, hiss, not your fault I got hurt after encountering a Felbat is all.... It's why I really didn't want to fight you so.... I'm sorry for doing something like that to you just to capture you easier." I said as I did feel a bit bad for doing that to her.
She huffed a bit, but she got off me letting me sit up as I ignored the pain in my back as Daisy put on a new bandage over the wound.
I petted her to calm her down and make her feel better, and after she calmed down I stopped.
"So Cmon Foxy, let's go have plenty of fun together alright?" I say getting up as I hold out my hand to her.

A few days later, after completely healing myself up from my wound I was resting at my main base.
Yesterday I had set up my second base for mining iron ore making my sla- I mean 'pals' work overtime at that other one to get ores quickly along with harvesting berries I had their so they would have a self sufficient supply even if I'm not there.

Though everyone else there was working like normal, it was specfically to punish those asshole Fuddlers, I'll let it go on for like another week before I feel their punish is over.
In other news I learned I could build a cabin anywhere I want but since it's not a base I can only let my pals I have on hand out of their spheres to spend time in the place, another downside is that I can't teleport to these cabins and if I leave them be they could be broken into by pals or other humans.
So to circumvent that I built my cabin near a fast travel point so I could go to it whenever I wanted, so when I found the old abandoned fort I chose that place, it was relatively safe with only Tanzee's, Teafants nearby, there was even a Large Alpha Pal not to far from the cabin, but as they stick to their areas like the King of the Forest, Mammorest, who was close by my base but unless you attack him he's just a gentle giant, but I can tell he's crazy strong so I don't want to piss him off if I can help it.
