Chapter 77 - Chapter 77 Misunderstanding

Peter did not give up on his web shooters. Although he could produce spider silk on his own, it is composed of protein and requires his own energy to generate and synthesize. He would probably need to study it further to understand the details.

In short, regardless of the result, the spider silk he shoots out cannot be produced infinitely without any cost. Whether it's magic energy or biological protein, something must be consumed. Even if he has ample physical strength, it's better not to use it up if possible. Otherwise, he would have to find a hot dog to replenish his energy from time to time like the Flash in DC comics, which would be quite embarrassing!

Additionally, there is another reason. Peter wants to keep an ace up his sleeve. The fact that Iron Man installed a tracker on the spider suit he gave him made Peter realize that others are still others, and he must rely on himself.

Since he had given them the impression of using web shooters in the past, he might as well let them continue believing so. His ability to produce spider silk became a means of concealment.

Imagine if an enemy who had done their homework on him used a trick to knock out his web shooters, thinking it would make him lose his means of attack and defeat him, but he suddenly used his own spider silk. This might have an unexpected effect!

Two hours later, Peter met up with Ned. This guy really brought his Lego Death Star set. However, after experiencing a fierce battle in a different time and space, Peter could now enjoy some rare inner peace by building small figures with Ned. At this moment, he finally found some happiness that belonged to someone his age.

The two of them were playing and laughing, and two hours passed in a flash. Thanks to the combination of two highly intelligent talents, this huge project with 3,803 building blocks was actually assembled in just two hours. This was even though Peter was very careful the whole time, fearing that he would crush the blocks with a single effort.

"Oh yeah! I didn't expect it to be done so quickly!" Ned shouted excitedly and jumped up. "Coming to you was indeed the best choice. If I were alone, it would probably take several days!"

Peter smiled and said narcissistically, "That's right, I'm a genius."

"Yes, Peter Parker is a famous genius at Midtown School of Science and Technology," Ned agreed with his narcissistic words in a serious manner.

This really left Peter at a loss for words.

"Shall we go out for dinner? I'm hungry," Ned patted his stomach. From his body shape, it was clear that he loved to eat.

Peter pointed to the kitchen, "Why not eat at home? Aunt May left a lot of food for me in the refrigerator."

"Okay, but I can only make some simple things," Ned said.

"What a coincidence, so can I," Peter replied.

The two laughed together.

As the two were busy taking out ingredients from the refrigerator and putting together a meal that could be eaten, Aunt May suddenly rushed home in a hurry. Seeing Peter and Ned whistling happily and busy in the kitchen, Aunt May was stunned.

"Aunt May, why are you back?" Peter turned around, saw Aunt May, and deliberately showed surprise. He knew that someone had just opened the door and come in. But he heard the sound of the key turning in the lock and felt a familiar presence, so he actually knew that Aunt May had arrived.

However, he was also surprised. Aunt May had clearly said that she would not be back until Monday, so why did she return early now?

Peter's shout startled Ned, who was frying eggs at the time, shaking the pan to flip them over. The egg almost fell to the ground because of this shock. Fortunately, Peter was quick-witted and reached out to grab the pan, letting the egg settle back in.

"Hi hello, Aunt May," Ned greeted her in a funny way.

"Hello, Ned. Welcome to our home," Aunt May greeted Ned, then walked over to Peter. To his puzzled eyes, she touched his forehead and tried her own, muttering, "It seems that you are not sick either."

Peter: ? He seemed to know why Aunt May had returned unexpectedly. It was probably because he lied about being sick and asked for a day off.

Peter felt a little guilty. He had asked for this day off to be Spider-Man in the world of Earth-1610B, but it made his relatives and friends here worry. Aunt May even had to give up her possibly urgent matters and rush back. This really shouldn't have happened.

While Peter was secretly blaming himself, May Parker was actually blaming herself too. She blamed herself for participating in those adventurous charity events many times—although it was really exciting and fun, and it could earn charity funds for the rescue center.

But when she was doing those things, her nephew was left alone at home. When he was hungry, he could only go to the store to buy ready-made goods. He was even forced to grow up and suddenly sent her a series of very considerate messages, asking her not to worry about him.

This shouldn't be the experience of a 15-year-old child. He should be happier and more carefree.

In this way, the aunt and nephew fell into a strange and beautiful misunderstanding.

Peter's life seemed to be back on track. Although the glowing spider web in his mind recorded several new parallel universe nodes in the Earth-1610B universe, none of them were lit. This means that he can temporarily put aside the disturbances of other parallel universes and enjoy the unique tranquility of his own world.

Well, compared to the incidents or supervillains that he encountered every time he traveled to the past, his world is indeed much more peaceful on the surface. Maybe it's because the Avengers and SHIELD agents are at the forefront?

Of course, this is on the premise that he doesn't go to Hell's Kitchen, which is only separated by a river. But there are Daredevil and Punisher in Hell's Kitchen. If there's nothing to do, Peter has no intention of running there.

During this period, there are only two things worth paying attention to.

The first one is that a female classmate named Liz Allen, who was in the same school as him and Ned, transferred to another school. It's a pity that Peter had a good impression of her. He doesn't know why she transferred.

It's just that she was originally the captain of the school's decathlon team. When she left, the captain position inexplicably fell to Flash, the arrogant kid. God knows why this guy, who was originally just a reserve member, suddenly became the captain!

Well, their instructor Mr. Harrington did talk to Peter and wanted him to be the captain, but Peter refused on the grounds that he wanted to participate in the Stark internship program. Could it be because of this?
