Following the Wallet Snatcher as he walked around the ballroom, Joe felt conflicted. He felt like he was being introduced to the man's nieces because of a mixture of the man wanting to get rid of him and the way the older people in one's family would try to introduce their kids to people.
Joe was nearly six feet tall and considered above-average in looks by most; he was not embarrassed talking to women. However, something about being introduced by the sleazy-looking man with black hair falling over his face and a greying goatee was abnormal.
