As soon as he spoke his mind about what they should be doing, Paul could tell that his party members thought they could do better.
He could not tell if they thought they could do something to turn the situation in their favor and win or something else, but their overconfidence was starting to get on his nerves slightly. Clearly, they needed to be humbled to avoid getting warped views about PvP.
It would get very tiring to play with people who thought they could fight the world; a healthy amount of caution and prudence was needed to succeed.
