As Irene respawned at the nearest respawn point and traveled back to the base camp, she couldn't help but think about the new party she had joined; it was much different than she had expected.
After losing the duel to Lazarus, she had thought he would try to put her to work in some tedious role that would benefit her minimally, but instead, there was only one other person in their party, and they were grinding to level up.
Since she had just leveled up to 38, it was not a big deal to sacrifice herself during the Grimgor fight; the XP he would give her would be much less meaningful than to the two people five levels below her.
Thinking back to the young sorcerous, she could not help sighing.
