Things have changed and they are sme as the canon at the same time. For one I am far stronger than my Canon self. I have enough preparation to not worry about the entire exam and the unexpected variables.
Like Orochimaru the snake Sanin. As I am entering the exam venue, my shadow clones have already infiltrated the Forest of the death. Most of them transformed into birds and such animals. So yeah I am not only relying on my future knowledge I am also actively making sure to not surprise myself with any unexpected changes.
After all even after knowing all that and having the ability it will be a height of foolishness if I don't prepare for any unexpected situation.
"Well, it's quite lively here. And here I thought we could arrive faster." I think Sasuke Is quite happy with this, after all, he wants to prove himself. Though Sakura not so much.
"It seems the entire gang is here. And here I thought we would not see your face." Kiba is just as I expected. Though as the main body, it's been a while since I last met him. On that note, my shadow clone information network has eyes on him. Just like most of the Canon characters and people in important places.
As for him mocking us, especially me. I don't care. He is like a dog barking at someone who will only think his provocation cute at best.
"Hey Hinata, Shino and Akamaru hope you three doing well." That doesn't mean I have to greet him.
"We are doing good."
"Sasuke! I missed you so much. It's been so long since we last met." I miss what Shino said because of Ino's actions. She tries to catch Sasuke in a hug to show her affection and fails as Sasuke evades her easily. On that note, it is also quite surprising to think that Sasuke and Sakura are going out, to talk about changes.
"Ino, keep your distance from Sasuke. Or you will not like the result." Even I feel chills looking at her fake sweet smile as she threatens Ino, also Sakura can very easily take on Ino.
"We all are here.. Man things are so troublesome." To tell you the truth I have mixed feelings about Shikamaru's attitude. Without any doubt, he and his team were very lucky in Canon. Who knows maybe the same will happen this time, too... Or not? The future will tell. Things about Shikamaru I don't like are quite few. According to Canon he is one of the smartest people in the world, but most of his actions show none of that. Even the achievements he gets in Canon are because of luck of plot armor that helps him. And even if it looks pretty smart if you just think about it you will find how easy it is to achieve the same thing with far less effort.
Like how lucky he was in the Canon fight against Temari if she was not so defensive. Even then closing your eyes in the middle of a battle is nothing more than foolishness.
Then again he also acted as if he was sleeping when his village was getting invaded. However, he was willing to sacrifice his life after that and was lucky enough to get saved by Asuma.
As for his greatest achievement of defeating Hidan. I am still confused about it. When Shikamaru was fighting Hidan with Asuma even with all of his strength he was barely able to move his one leg out of the circle. Next thing you know he was taking HIdan on a marathon run. I mean just another person cutting off HIdan's head like Asuma would have been a far better plan. Not to mention Shikamaru suddenly became so fast that he was able to trick Hidan who was an S-rank shinobi. When it was pretty clear Shikamaru was not good at taijutsu. Fast enough to put blood on the weapon and put a fake wound, all in front of HIdan's eyes and him not seeing it... If all that was not plot armor then I don't know what is...
We all start to talk as my senses look for any unexpected people. Gaara as usual showing his killing intent without not caring about others. Orochimaru is nowhere in my senses. I don't care if he is the real deal, it is not that surprising for me to sense people here. My lovely Kabuto sempai seems pretty happy as he is walking toward us.
On that note, there are some interesting people. Karin Uzumaki. I have plans for her, but it will depend on what she will choose.
"Kabuto sempai it's been a while. You are also joining the chunin exam? You could've just gotten field promotion with your talent in medical jutsu." I have to say he is quite good at his job, too good in fact.
"Naruto, you are praising me too much. It seems you are taking the exam as well. Is it not too early for you to join? After all, you all are rookies." He says that as he looks at the other genins that are trying to scare us with their pathetic amount of killing intent. It is more like Flys buzzing around. None of us I mean team 7 care about it. Just another reason for us to thank Yamato sensei.
"They are also not happy with rookies joining the exam they are so serious about." I look at the reactions of my former classmates. Team 10 trying to hide their presence, team 8 not showing any fear, and Kiba puffing his chest at them. Though it goes without saying they probably doesn't even notice Shino.
" And here I was wondering what was buzzing. Don't they have anything else to do than feel threatened by rookies joining." Sasuke finally decides to act his part and gives a good blow. Now we have to see anyone stupid enough to attack. I also ignore Ino squealing like a fan girl and her teammate's paling faces.
" You said that right. If anyone has a problem they can come here and we can show them." Kiba also decides to show his arrogance.
"I don't think making an enemy of everyone is a good idea. Let's change the subject. Here..." I half zone out his talking as I make mental note of the people who showed a spike in their killing intent. As far as I can see most of them just want to intimidate us and not really want to kill us. Well, you have to not count Gaara who wants nothing but to go on a killing spree and Neji who wants to harm Hinata.
"What I have here can show information of people you may want to know. Ask away. I am good at this. You can even give descriptions of them." He really knows how to talk just by a small chat he is starting to act like he has known us for a long time.
"Some pro he is, seven times." Well, respect is not something Kabuto has gained. However, I wonder what my former classmates are thinking about.
"What about the sand team? The redhead makes me cautious." I don't know how much they will need, but I am giving them the chance to know someone troublesome. Though Hinata already knows.
"Hmm let's see... It's here. Oh! It's quite interesting! All three of them are siblings! Not only that they are the children of Kazekage! Man, I can see them being problematic, just by this alone we should stay away from them." Even I don't want any of them to die because they don't know about the most insane candidate in the exam.
" Well here's some more. Temari is the eldest of them. She uses a war fan as her choice of weapon and is a wind user. If I have to say she is a mid to long-range fighter. Kankuro the second sibling. He is a puppet user. Sand village shinobi's are quite famous for using ninja puppets. Be careful of hidden weapons and think every weapon has poison. Probably a mid-range fighter. " I have to say they are quite dangerous for those who are at genin level. A glance at people around me shows they are taking it seriously. At least Kabuto knows how to convince people. And he deserves a thanks. Just for that, he will get a painless death.
"Ahh... This...! I think they are more dangerous than before. The youngest sibling Gaara has a massive amount of Chakra. He controls sand to kill his enemies and... he may not be right in his head. Other than that I only know one shocking piece of information. They went to B rank mission and came back without any scratch." It's good seeing them take it seriously. I mean my ex-classmates are not known for taking anything seriously and rely on their luck most of the time.
" Man, they are bad news." Yes, Shikamaru they are bad news. So, don't look down on everyone just because you have a higher IQ. Though I don't think you will change, you are probably thinking about stealthily doing things and not garnering their attention.
"I am losing my appetite just hearing about it. Why did I decide to take this exam." Ahh, Choji, you finally open your mouth to say something and not look at Akamaru like your next meal. Though you are here because of food and I am sure of that.
"We should be more cautious and not pick a fight. We don't know about most of them. We should focus on gathering information." Well, Hinata like your team most others cannot do that.
"You all don't have to worry about all that. Staying out of their way is the best option. Most other genins are in no way near that level. Here." he says as he shows a map of the shinobi continent
"Sand, Grass, Waterfall, Rain and a new shinobi village Sound. They are the other villages other than Leaf sending their genins. Leaf is a major village and the average leaf genins are far stronger than them. As for the sand team, they are the exception, not the rule."
"On that note I don't think Sound Village shinobi are something. They are a newly created shinobi village, most don't expect much from them." So you are so interested in getting a good beating.
The sound shinobi look at Kabuto in displeasure and they move from their place. Sasuke looks at me for a moment asking, to that I say nothing. And like that Kabuto will get what he wants. Though now Sasuke will be more weary of Kabuto, the exact opposite of what Kabuto is trying to do.
Talk about all the wasted effort.
A small drama scene later, where Kabuto got his ass kicked and his eardrum busted as well as vomiting. After that, we all start to take our seats for the first exam.
Is this what you call luck? I glance at the red-haired girl with glasses who is giving me a stiff smile.

'Why God! Why? Is my life not in enough danger that I have to get noticed by one of the monsters.' Kain complained inside his head but didn't dare to say it out loud. She gave Naruto an awkward smile, hoping to herself that Naruto would not take notice of her.
Karin was a sensor and pretty good at that. At first when she sensed Naruto's Chakra she was only surprised to find how much it was. But after looking a little deep into it she found more than what she had thought.
Without any doubt, the Chakra of Kyubi had scared her. It was also the reason for her fear.
'Though at least it's not like the sand monster and he looks tame... Just hope he doesn't snap and kill me.' She hid her fear well as she started to go through her question paper.
After sometimes she put her pen down. The only reason she was able to answer a few of the questions was because she had gotten some basic lessons before coming, and she was smart enough. However, that still didn't change the fact she was just a walking talking medical tool for her team.
Thinking about that she felt a little down.
She found it surprising that the blonde next to her had long finished writing his answers. She had thought him to be a muscle brain.
"Now for the final question..." She found herself not caring about failing. After all, she was no shinobi of grass, she wouldn't be getting any promotion. She wasn't even a proper genin. However, she also didn't want to be the reason for her team's failure. She was not sure what kind of punishment she would have to face if that were to happen.
Surprisingly or not surprisingly the blonde looked chill like it was nothing, while the entire room was filled with palpable tension. Even when people started to leave one after another he acted like nothing was happening.
Without even realizing she was paying attention to the whisked blonde.
"You all pass." She came out of her stupor as sounds of exclamation filled the room. She looked back to see the blonde giving her a polite smile. For a moment she felt dazed as her cheeks felt hot. Whatever thoughts she had in her mind didn't stay long as she felt chills go down her spine. A glance behind her back showed a not-so-amused Hyuga princess looking at her with frosty eyes.
She decided and reaffirmed her decision to stay away from the blonde and not even think about him. 'Even with his handsome smile I don't want to get killed.'

Also from now I will update one chapter a week. I mean 5K+ words a week should be enough. I am getting more busy.
I have draft of a new story, though will start to publish that in 2 months or so. I have more hopes for that fic.
