"Did he open his mouth?" Steward asked.
Theodore sighed heavily, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "She is not with him," he said with a mix of frustration and despair. "Someone else has taken her."
Steward frowned, skepticism etched into his features. "Are you certain? You can't trust a man like Keith. Give me some time—I'll get the truth out of him."
Theodore shook his head, stopping him. "It's no use. He doesn't know anything. "Someone else took her away." The thought of Bella being with Zack made his heart clench.
Steward studied him. "If it's not Keith, who else could have taken her? Do you suspect anyone?"
"I do," Theodore said with a firm nod. "It's Zack Hudson."
"Zack Hudson," Steward repeated the name, tilting his head slightly. "Why do you suspect him?"
