Chapter 16 - A Man of Hunt.

Clap clap clap.

"Copy." A man was standing and clapping his hands, smiling at a defeated opponent in front of him. "You have a unique star ability, so I'm taking that from you."

"W-what? I've never heard of a skill like that-!" The defeated opponent spat out blood when the man changed his smiling face to a grim look. He pressed his boot on the person's back, making her cough up more blood.

"You have never heard of it?" He rapidly changed his expression, just like it was expected. "Of course, you wouldn't hear about a skill like copy when your only a fragment of [Dyo, god of Desires.]" The man smirked upon the defeated opponent. "

"Ah, [Dyo] was my favorite." He said, looking up at the dusty ceiling. "But it's his fault for not actually being able to trust the night temple, and all went to ruins after." The man was a ex-believer of the [god of Desires, Dyo.] he blamed Dyo because of what happened to his family, and started to serve under a different god, which name was never revealed unto him.

He was apart of this world, but strangely, he got a system window too, since he was favored by the mysterious god.

^ U-um, you have a requested summon.^ a small human like creature appeared, and anyone will think it's a human until it smiled nervously, showing sharp teeth. ^ It's actually a command, so you can't refuse..^ it scratched the back of it's head.

"Something I can't refuse? This is the first summon that's a command in a long time." The man had a side-ways look, then sighed, smiling. "It might be more interesting. Chasing fragments around is quite boring, since they are weak." Stretching his arms, he nodded and was teleported to a bright room, sunshine filled all of the corners, and there, sitting on the floor of clouds, was a small girl.

She jumped in joy as soon as she saw the man.

"Wow, your here!" She had a beautiful long white dress on, with dull purple eyes, and a necklace that was at the finest of royal purple.

Her hair was short, but still a graceful brown that stopped at her shoulders.

"Do you know why I called you?" She spoke with a happy tone, but her eyes said otherwise.

"You know I'm the weakest of the gods here, but I'm still more stronger than you, right?" A friendly reminder was passed between them, and the man nodded. "I know that your stronger than me.. now, what does the owner of the night temple want?"

This specific god was like a messager of the one that the man was serving, so even if she was stronger than him, she can't actually do anything to him.

"You wanna know? Oh, it's just something that will threaten everyone, and threaten your own position." Her happy tone was completely broken, and only a cold tone remained. "Like, I mean everyone. This is the temple service, so basically the [Upper gods] won't be threatened, but we will.

Your gonna be threatened too, so you have to listen and do your job quickly and carefully.

Since we can't directly interfere with this world because of our status, we need you to do this job."

"It's about... Demigods." She said, raising her hand. "Look-"

"Your asking me to kill Demigods? Is this a joke?" The man laughed, beating his chest. "I've killed a lot of them, even I'm considered a Demigod! Well, a type of Demigod, but-"

"These ones are stronger than you, even though they are in the stage of progressing." The messager god said, interrupting the man. "Nick, they are stronger than you even though your a Demigod killer. Must be hard to believe, right? But they have a more stronger system than you. Plus, it's a Demigod system." The seriousness in her voice made Nick stop, really listening now.

He adjusted his hat, confused. "Then can't you give me a Demigod system?-"

"No, we unfortunately can't. You know how the [Upper gods] barely tell us of anything, so we didn't know about the systems coming in. If we don't know about the system, how are we supposed to know about the Demigod panel?"

Nick looked shocked. "Really?"

The messager god nodded, starting to float. "Yea, really."

^ But there's good news, right?^ the system bud held one finger up, reminding the messager able it.

"Ah, yea! That is.. um.. it's fragments. But.."

"What? Fragments? So this is going to be easy!" Nick was now looking for forward to the mission. "Tell me about it-!"

^ It's the fragments of [Unknown.]^Breaking the news, the system bud has no idea about who Unknown was, so upon saying the name, Nick and the messager god looked at it in such a terrified way, it flinched.

^ It's easy, right-?^

"It's not and never going to be easy." Fiddling her fingers, the girl said while avoiding eye contact. She started to get fainter and fainter, so she rushed her words.

"It's Unknown, and Unknown is not in his full power yet. Being #$@&- must have had a huge effect, so now his fragments are in the other world that is now interfering with this world. They have all came, and now you have to kill them off quickly.

But be careful, he's one of the the toughest and top-" not being able to finish the sentence, the messager disappeared, and the domain started to crack.

"What happened?! 'Being #$@&-!?' New and stronger Demigods!? I like the previous world!" Nick yelled as he was transported back to where he was, in front of the dead opponent.

He went on his knees, and was now calming down. "How much Demigods do I have to get rid of? And killing off [Unknown's] fragments of power? No! This is not going to be easy and was never easy in the first place! I need to use copy-"

"Wait, copy?" Nick repeated. "My weapon! My trump card! Copy! There might be a Disease or Creature that can kill off a Demigod- or, I can copy a Demigods' star ability!" Now he was getting excited.

"I might be able to kill one of them off since they are at their weakest! It might not be impossible now! Even the fragments! The fragments-"

|• A [Weakest Demigod] is staring at you!•|

The message made Nick's heart skip a beat. Pressure was knocked upon him, making his heart beat faster and faster. The pressure was no ordinary pressure, and the person behind him clearly knew that he himself was as dangerous as Nick.

"Huhu, that's interesting, no?" A old man's voice sounded clear and steadily from behind him. "A strange man of hunt, killing off a person that I know? Hehehe, who are you?"

Looking behind him, Nick saw a old man(?) woman(?) standing at the entrance of the dusty temple door.

"I-" Nick had thought that it was going to be easy, but he knew that he doesn't have a ability to kill a Demigod.

"Ah, I may have to introduce myself, my manners! I am Mystery, and I am a Demigod. Nice to meet you, killer."
