For thousands of the humans and Elves has been at war, fighting for dominance of the continent. The both sides could never agree on territory, so they fought for it. For a while the elves seemed to have the upper hand, due to their affinity for magic and technology. They where armed with magical arrows that explodes on impact, ships defy the laws of gravity and magical potions capable of restoring health. Humans on the other hand where armed with swords and spears. They where utterly powerless against the elven instruments of warfare. Their weapons too weak to stand against the shear might of the elves. The humans tried to enlist the help the other races residing on the surrounding continents but they all refused for fear of angering the elves.
The humans where desperate for a solution; their numbers were dwindling by the day. The elven army had killed, raped taken slaves of the humans, forcing them to take refuge in the Groven mountains where the ground was hard and the soil infertile, the thick coverage of the trees made it so their crops barely had sunlight, and they barely had livestock. But the large trees gave them coverage from the elves flying ships.
Centuries after the humans settled in the Groves. Where they were robbed by humans. The humans that ambushed them were led by a man called Staine Baelemon. When they went through the items they plundered they found a journal. As it turns out the dwarves where explorers and the journal contained details of their expedition.
They had traveled from their continent which they call Tyria, which was home to the dwarves and beastmen. On a mission to map out the planet.
According to the journal, the planet was called Paragon, and on Paragon there were three continents, Tyris which was home to the dwarfs and beast men, Elysius, which was home to the humans, the elves, and a few other beings; like the orcs, the ogres, and some other minorities.
The humans and the elves populated most parts of Elysius; About 80% of the continent. But due to the war, the elves were in control of 60%, while the humans had 20% which mostly comprises of mountains. The third continent however: which was called Sakharin, was uncharted. There was nothing in the journal about what species dwelled there.
However there was a small island two thousand miles off the coast of Sakharin. Which; according to the dwarves was called draconis. There wasn't a lot of details on this island only that it was home to beings called dragons. The humans however had never heard of dragons before, and there wasn't much about them in the journal except that they were really big and could fly.
Staine saw this and got an idea, if they could find a way to travel to this island they can enlist the help of the dragon people, they could turn the tide of war.
So Staine brought the journal to his father; Bonun Baelemon, the head of the Baelemon clan, and told him his plan. Bonun was skeptical at first, but saw the light in his plan. Bonun gathered the top human clans, Erubus, Clayton,
