Elizabeth and Mary looked at each other and left the scene. Maybe they knew the sibilings will reconcile or maybe they needed some time to talk with each other. Whatever it is,they didn't want to disturb them.

Looking at Mary's sad face,Elizabeth understood it's better not to overstep the boundary. However as a friend,she promised herself to help Mary in every situation.
A week passed away without any hassle. Annie was still in her room while Aiden was eating breakfast. That day after those two maids left. Something unexpected happened between them.

-Me? Mad at you? How dare i! Don't worry brother. I am not mad at you. I thought i made myself into a strong woman but in the end,i am still the same softie i was before. I had to forgive you and then forgive my father who cheated and a maid whose mother took away my father. I have been forgiving people all my life.
The sorrow in Annie's eyes couldn't be unseen by Aiden. This girl suffered all her life yet no one was there to comfort her.
-Annie,can you forget about the past?
-Maybe but i did rather not. Brother thank you for not being with me when i needed you the most. I will get divorce soon and left for Paris.
-Are you really going to leave?
-Yes I have already decided to do so. As for the divorce,i will talk with William and finalise it.
Just like that,Annie left behind sorrowful Aiden. She didn't look back. She will never look back again. Aiden stood there like someone who lost the little hope he had. After a week,Annie finally spoke with William about her divorce. She no longer wanted this unwanted relationship. Though William has feelings for Annie,Annie not even for once had any feelings for William. She only married him due to her brother's impulsive behaviour.

-No i am glad that miss Annie looks happy.
-You are right. Maybe rather than having this relationship,it would be better for them to end it.
For a moment,Lizzy really thought she could fix the relationship between Annie and William. But maybe this is for the best.
After a week,Annie finally divorce her husband William.
-Annie,let's be friends.
-William,sorry but i can't be friends with someone who had a hard time understanding a woman's heart. Goodbye.

Annie shut down her room's door and reminiscence about her married life. Though it wasn't the best life she had,she still loved her husband dearly. She shut down her eyes and cover her face so that the tears get dried.

Annie looked at the flushed Lizzy and forced a soft smile. How can a worst enemy turn into a best friend. She hated Lizzy after she found out about her father's wrongdoing. But not even for once she thought,Lizzy could hate her too.
Annie took Lizzy's hands and said,thank you Lizzy.
Lizzy looked at Annie with teary eyes and forced a sad smile. It was a smile which couldn't be forgotten.
