Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Elizabeth was finally ready for school, Elizabeth was all smiles as they set for school because had long to see her best friend Julie, Julie's parent restricted Julie from leaving the house because they were scared of what could happen to her ever since her brother died her parents had become extra cautious and made sure Julie rarely left the house. Finally Elizabeth and her mom got to school now standing in front of the school gate Elizabeth remembers the mysterious things happening at their school it sents a shiver down her spine and suddenly her excitedness dwindles, she tells her mother that she wants to go home her mother is shocked by her strange request because earlier that morning she had been excited to get to school she asks Elizabeth if she being bullied but Elizabeth nods her head negatively her encourages her a little bit more and she gives in.

After Elizabeth enters the school gate her watches her make her way into the building Elizabeth turns back and waves her mother a good bye her mother waves back and walks away few steps from the school gate her mother passed out. Elizabeth looks round the hallway in search of Julie not being able to spot her best friend she walks into the classroom sad when suddenly an arm wraps around her she looks up to see Julie smiling at her she returns the hug and her face finally brightens up, the teacher asks everyone to have their seat both girls immediately takes their seat as the class begins.

After their second lesson the children where given pee breaks and water breaks as Elizabeth and Julie leave their seat and head towards the back of the classroom where their lunch boxes where kept they could hear students whisper to one another, last night my mom she could see strange lights in the isle at the far end of the city, a student responded well that's strange my dad said it hadn't glown in forever, another student said to the others, my aunt said there where movements in the forbidden forest and just like that the students gathered around each other sharing different stories, Elizabeth and Julie wondered why so much happened in their city but with so little or no knowledge at all of what was happening.
