Elena opened her eyes and saw the familiar ceiling as she awoke, but hazy fragments flashed through her mind, making her feel as if she had experienced some sort of nightmare.
"Elena, you're finally awake!" Barrette, who had been watching over her by the bedside, felt as though a weight had been lifted off his chest when he saw his daughter wake up.
"Dad, what happened to me?" Elena sat up with a look of confusion.
"It's nothing, it's nothing, it's all my fault!" Barrette felt some regret.
If only he had believed Xiao Chen from the beginning and confirmed that Hate Gelei was the mastermind behind it all, to bring him to justice, then his daughter wouldn't have had to go through such a dangerous ordeal.
Fortunately, everything turned out safe, and the matter was satisfactorily resolved.
"Are you awake now, shouldn't be any serious problems, right?" It was then that Xiao Chen walked into the room.
