Wang Hao woke up to find it was already broad daylight.
After opening his eyes, he realized his head still felt groggy.
Struggling to get out of bed, he was suddenly aware that his body felt much lighter, and even his strength seemed to have increased considerably.
"Could it be that using the tattoo a lot can really purify my body and strengthen my marrow, like in the novels?"
Wang Hao muttered to himself, not dwelling on it any further.
After all, he would find out all about these things sooner or later!
After quickly washing up and noticing that his parents were nowhere to be found, Wang Hao went to the kitchen to have breakfast.
Right after finishing his meal, he saw Su Lin bouncing energetically into the yard.
"Big Brother Hao, you're at home!"
Wang Hao discreetly glanced at Su Lin's quivering chest and replied with a smile, "Yeah, what brings you here?"
"Didn't you say yesterday that when my dad comes back, you would go see him to sell herbs? He's already back this morning!" Su Lin said, beaming.
She definitely felt his gaze, but rather than being offended, it actually made her feel sweet inside.
"Your dad came back early? Great, let's head over now!"
Surprised, Wang Hao said this and then picked up the Lingzhi that had been altered by the green dragon shadow last night, and hurried over to her house with Su Lin.
As soon as he stepped into the yard, he saw a middle-aged man around fifty, with disheveled hair, "puff puffing" away at a dry pipe while sitting in the courtyard.
Hearing the commotion, the middle-aged man lifted his head and scrutinized Wang Hao closely.
Noticing his dragon tattoo, he frowned noticeably.
"Dad, this is Brother Hao. It was he who saved me a few days ago!" Su Lin introduced him with a sweet smile to the middle-aged man.
Su Zhenping's face softened, and he smiled warmly, "So you're the kid from the Wang Family. We owe you a lot for saving our Lin Lin the other day, thank you!"
"It was nothing, Uncle Su, you're too kind. I've come today because I need your help with something," Wang Hao said as he handed over a cloth-wrapped package of Lingzhi to him.
Su Zhenping opened the cloth package and immediately his eyes widened—this Lingzhi was huge!
The size and the color indicated that it was an old and valuable specimen! Even on the market, it was a rare find!
"Where... where did you get this Lingzhi from?" Su Zhenping tried to suppress his shock, but his trembling voice betrayed him.
Scratching his head, Wang Hao replied with a simple laugh, "I found it last night on the Savage Mountain. Uncle Su, could you please tell me how much it's worth?"
"This could be worth a fortune!" Su Zhenping kept looking over the Lingzhi, growing more excited.
"Then Uncle Su, could you help me sell this Lingzhi? I don't really know much about this, and it would be great if you could help me sell it."
"Yes, yes, that's no problem at all, I estimate this Lingzhi could be worth at least a hundred thousand!" Su Zhenping said, nodding with a smile.
"A hundred thousand that much?!" Wang Hao was astounded.
His parents worked hard all year long and only earned about twenty thousand. If he could really sell it for a hundred thousand, that would be a huge windfall!
"Hao Zi, I can give you a down payment first, and you leave the Lingzhi with me, how about it?" Su Zhenping said calmly as he proposed his plan.
He had decided to buy the Lingzhi and wait to sell it to the right buyer for a higher price!
Wang Hao couldn't have been happier, and he quickly said, "Okay, please arrange it, Uncle Su!"
Wang Hao had no concerns about Su Zhenping.
Given the other party's unquestioning quote, he was clearly a trustworthy person.
If he had to find someone to sell it himself, he might still be severely overcharged, which was not what he wanted to see.
"Alright, I'll give you a forty-thousand yuan down payment first!" Su Zhenping said and went back into the house.
Soon, he came out with a black plastic bag that evidently contained four stacks of glowing hundred-yuan bills.
Wang Hao didn't count them one by one, he just thanked the man and took the money.
It wasn't until he had left the gate of Su Lin's home that he still felt dizzy, everything seemed so surreal.
When he got home, his parents were still out, so after some thought, Wang Hao decided to hide the forty thousand yuan in cash in his own room.
"Is anyone home?"
Just then, a familiar voice echoed in the yard.
Recognizing it as Qi Shihan's voice, Wang Hao hurried outside.
Today, Qi Shihan was wearing an apricot-colored white T-shirt with two large eyes on the chest, which made her full figure even more alluring.
She still had her hair tied in a ponytail, looking youthful and lively, brimming with energy.
Seeing Wang Hao come out, Qi Shihan's eyes lit up, and she exclaimed with surprise, "Big brother Hao, so you actually are at home!"
"Let me tell you, my mom agreed to hire you to help me with my revisions, so you can start from today!"
Having just received a large sum of forty thousand yuan in cash, Wang Hao wasn't too excited about the sixty yuan he'd earn each day from tutoring Qi Shihan anymore.
But since he had agreed to it the day before, it wouldn't be right to go back on his word halfway.
So he nodded and followed Qi Shihan to her home.
Qi Shihan's family had a large yard, which even within Chen Village was considered affluent.
Their home's interior was tastefully decorated, which would qualify as a top-tier furnished house even in the city.
Qi Shihan led Wang Hao straight into her bedroom, a room located on the left side towards the front.
The room wasn't large, but it was arranged very cozily and cutely.
Looking around, the room was filled with pink.
A pink bed, pink windows, a pink wardrobe, and pink walls, as if one had stepped into a princess's world.
At Qi Shihan's invitation, Wang Hao sat down at a pink desk.
He looked through the books on the desk and found he had almost forgotten most of the content inside.
He didn't show it, though, and told Qi Shihan with great conviction that everything was child's play for him.
Qi Shihan didn't think too much of it. She also moved a stool over to the desk and started to work on the test papers with concentration.
Wang Hao was so close to her that he could smell the fragrance of cardamom emanating from her, which was a real test of his self-control.
So as not to let Qi Shihan realize that he was an old pervert, Wang Hao decided to pick up a book and pretend to read it.
But the moment he stood up, he saw down Qi Shihan's open neckline from his higher vantage point.
Instantly, he felt his nose grow hot, and he nearly shot a nosebleed...
