"Dad, I'm back!" Ye Yulan entered the house and, seeing the Zhou family already in the living room, spoke up.
Zhou Zhenglong looked up briefly before lowering his head again, remaining silent.
"Dad, Mom, Brother, I'm back!" Ye Yulan called out again.
"Yes, you're back. Come sit down and eat!" Mrs. Zhou said, waving her hand.
Ye Yulan walked over with a giggle and sat down.
Once seated, she glanced at the dishes on the table—there was meat, fish, shrimp, and red wine—it made her gulp.
"Eat whatever you like!" Mrs. Zhou said with a smile.
"Mom, what's the occasion?" Ye Yulan asked.
"Nothing much. It's just your uncle's birthday today, so we're all having dinner together!" Mrs. Zhou explained.
"Oh!"
"Yulan, how old is your uncle this year?" Grandpa Zhou suddenly asked.
"Twenty-six, two years older than me," Ye Yulan replied.
"Ah, not bad, not bad, he's quite mature," Grandpa Zhou said cheerfully.
