Ye Fei was feeling pretty smug inside.
His phone in his pocket started ringing.
He quickly pulled it out and answered the call.
"Hello."
"Ye Fei, what do I do now? I just called Ma Xuming, and he won't let me handle the matter, claiming it's a sure win without any loss."
Li Manshu had called her son Ma Xuming right away after she got off the phone with Ye Fei.
After all her persuading, it had done no good at all.
Ma Xuming had outright refused to listen to her and had even blamed her for seeking Ye Fei's help, saying she had made him lose face.
Hearing the cry in Li Manshu's voice, Ye Fei felt very helpless.
"Sister Li, I've done everything I promised you. As for your son wanting to jump into the fire pit, I'm powerless."
"After all, if he won't even listen to his own mother, how could he possibly listen to me?"
Ye Fei's words were spot-on.
Ma Xuming's mind was just too irrational.
