Liu Piaopiao approached Ye Fei as if she wanted to say something, but eventually swallowed her words.
She glanced behind Ye Fei, and upon not noticing the luxurious car she had seen that day, tentatively asked,
"You didn't drive here?"
"No, that car was borrowed, and I've returned it."
Ye Fei replied with a nonchalant smile, straightening his back.
The midday sun immediately cast his shadow onto Liu Piaopiao.
The delicate frame of Liu Piaopiao was also enveloped by that same shadow.
For some reason, she even harbored the illusion of being embraced by Ye Fei.
The woman past her middle age momentarily lost focus, then pointed towards a white sedan in the distance with a raised hand.
After two beeps, she began walking towards the car with a somewhat frivolous gait.
As she neared Ye Fei, she casually slapped the car keys into his hand.
"Since you're here, you might as well drive."
She said nothing else.
Ye Fei, taking the car keys, followed with a smile.
