Richie glided down from the upper floors, his giant bat wings spread wide, startling the police officers who had just arrived.
They were just ordinary cops, unused to encountering such creatures.
The team leader of the police yelled, "Fire!"

The police officers took cover behind cars, firing at the dark shadow in the sky.
"A bunch of useless idiots!"
Richie snorted coldly, his bat wings folded in, losing their gliding effect, and his speed suddenly increased.
The dense bullets failed to hit him.

He landed on the roof of a police car, crushing the vehicle flat and walking towards the group of police officers.
Bang bang bang...
Bullets were fired at him, but as he shielded himself with his bat wings, the bullets struck but failed to inflict any harm, instead ricocheting wildly, striking some police officers with stray shots.
