Today, he no longer needed to showcase himself further, leaving the stage to his father seemed more prudent.
Whether his father could establish himself within the sect was critical for their future.
As for whether his father could handle such a situation... Li Ping'an had no worries at all.
After all, he had learned many things from his father.
With this in mind, Li Ping'an clasped his hands together and adopted a posture of youthful impulsiveness, choosing not to speak further.
But then, Ningning Mu suddenly said, "You must be the Immortals from the Wanyun Sect, seniors from the Elixir Dust Peak. Why do you mock us junior disciples?"
The Immortals from Elixir Dust Peak and those around who had come to watch the spectacle all turned their attention to Ningning Mu.
Li Ping'an whispered, "Priestess Ningning, you needn't say more, there might be some misunderstandings here..."
"Misunderstandings?"
Ningning Mu huffed, her peach blossom eyes glaring at the Immortals from Elixir Dust Peak, as she whispered:
"I heard everything just now. An Immortal mentioned that Elixir Dust Peak is quite protective, but I never imagined that such esteemed senior Immortals would directly pressurize us two Qi Cultivation juniors.
"I originally thought the secular immortal sects were places of tranquil cultivation. How come there are so many prejudices and acts of the privileged?"
Her eyes filled with a trace of tears, but she sniffed and held them back, continuing to glare at the Immortals.
The elders from Elixir Dust Peak were also stunned.
Where did this young girl come from?
Li Ping'an calmly looked toward the hall entrance without stopping Ningning Mu.
Ningning Mu's grievances didn't seem feigned.
Listening further to Ningning Mu:
"I swear on my life that today's incident was never about Ping'an senior brother and me wanting to harm anyone or any beast. That exotic beast from Elixir Dust Peak tried to attack me; I merely let it injure me slightly. Then, a disciple from Elixir Dust Peak arrived, and without a word, attacked us, releasing numerous small swords, intending to seriously wound us and take us back to the peak!
"Had it not been for senior brother Ping'an's desperate effort, we would likely be unable to stand now!
"How is it that upon the arrival of you Immortals, you speak as such, immediately deciding the fault lies with us two?"
"Before I came to seek the Path of Immortality, my mother cautioned me that cultivating immortality isn't just about powerful Mana or indifferent demeanor; it's about obtaining greater Mana to then benefit all living beings.
"Today, I can't help but ask, is it really so?"
The elders looked embarrassed and were about to speak.
Ningning Mu, with her pallor full of earnest questioning, asked again, "Is it truly so?"
An elder said gravely, "This matter does not concern you; you need not speak any more. Elixir Dust Peak will offer an apology to you."
"How does it not concern me when your disciple was whom Ping'an senior brother and I fought together?"
Ningning Mu appeared ready to argue further when suddenly some commotion came from the entrance.
A loud voice suddenly called out, "Ping'an! What's happened to you, Ping'an!"
The slightly overweight middle-aged cultivator, dressed in a loose White Robe, riding on a cloud and sticking out his belly, plunged into the Mundane Affairs Hall.
"Dad, over here!"
Li Ping'an called out and then gently tugged at Ningning Mu's slender arm while winking at her.
Ningning Mu looked puzzled.
Li Ping'an, watching his father approach, whispered, "That's my father."
"Father?" Ningning Mu blinked, "Your biological one?"
Li Ping'an felt an inexplicable sense of tranquility and muttered softly, "Basing on the facts, I should be his biological son, now be quiet."
Ningning Mu leaned closer to Li Ping'an and whispered, "But senior brother, there are so many Immortals from Elixir Dust Peak. What if a fight breaks out later? Your uncle doesn't seem like an Immortal; can he win?"
"There's something you need to understand, sister," he replied.
"What's that?"
"We're too low in cultivation, even if we use voice transmission, it can be heard loud and clear by those Immortals."
Li Ping'an said helplessly:
"Stop talking already, several Immortals are about to laugh out loud."
Ningning Mu turned her head around, looking naive and bewildered.
In the corner, a few Female Immortals couldn't help but cover their mouths and giggle, and most of the Qi Cultivators in the hall were smiling.
Ningning Mu was hugely embarrassed, her pretty cheeks blushed, but she quickly stood tall, pursed her lips, and showed no sign of stage fright.
At that moment, Li Dazhi had walked up to Li Ping'an, frowning as he scrutinized him from head to toe.
The Immortals of Elixir Dust Peak took a breath of relief.
They were ready for a big argument.
The honor of Elixir Dust Peak, and the dignity of their Peak Master, could not suffer a loss today!
Li Dazhi suddenly spoke out, but his words left everyone in Wanyun Sect as confused as if they were lost in a cloud.
"Oil, is it about Ouye or not?"
Li Ping'an was confused for a moment, then he quickly reacted.
This 'eagle language' served as a kind of encrypted communication that he and his father could use in front of all the Immortals.
"Admiration for Ouye."
"Then it is about Ouye."
Li Dazhi then asked in their local dialect, "Do you want face or substance?"
Without hesitation, Li Ping'an answered, "Substance."
"You little rascal!"
Li Dazhi placed his hands on his hips and glared, much like Zhang Sanfeng at the Battle of Changban, his loud voice resonating throughout the main Peak:
"You say you seek immortality, the Path of Immortality, and this is how you seek it! How long have you been here at the sect, yet you're already being rash and getting into fights!
"If I don't teach you a lesson today, you might forget your own name!"
Li Dazhi pulled out his jade belt, infused it with Mana, and was about to whip Li Ping'an's backside.
Li Ping'an quickly retreated, not forgetting to pull Ningning Mu with him.
Meanwhile, a few nearby Immortal stewards rushed to surround and stop Li Dazhi, calling out urgently:
"You mustn't hit him! You mustn't, oh great mentor Dazhi!"
