Alex pulled out his phone and called Melody again.
After just one ring, she answered.
"Hello, Alex."
"Melody..." Alex hesitated, "Have you had dinner? And... your daughter?"
"Yes, I've eaten. I'm currently on a train to Washington."
"That's good." Alex reassured himself that the train didn't have any troubles for the time being, and let out a brief sigh of relief, "Rest well tonight. Once you arrive in Washington tomorrow, contact me, and I'll set out immediately. We'll meet at the premiere of 'Kaiju' the day after tomorrow night."
"Okay... see you at the premiere."
Alex could tell from her tone that Melody spoke without confidence, genuinely uncertain whether they would be able to meet smoothly.
After chatting with Melody a little longer, the two ended the call.
By this time, Alex had already returned home with Dai Lin.
