Dai Lin could never have imagined that he would set foot on American soil under such circumstances.
And what was even more unexpected was that he arrived near Independence Hall in Philadelphia. With the vision of his Devil's Eye, he could easily see the famous Liberty Bell.
The Liberty Bell is a symbol of Philadelphia and, for a long time, a symbol of the spirit of freedom that America revered. It was first rung when the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed at the founding of the nation.
And the place where Dai Lin and Alex had agreed to meet was also nearby.
"Alex Selor…"
Dai Lin cleared his throat.
He was not worried about his level of American English; just by devouring and absorbing a strand of hair from an American, he could speak fluent American English.
"Is it Dr. Dai Lin?"
Soon after, Dai Lin saw a blond-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian man approaching from not far away.
"That's me."
After the man came over, he extended his hand and said, "Hello, I'm Alex Selor."
